duncan also has 4 rings...3 final mvps...etc...when yao has that, you can bring that up as a counter. in other words, duncan has answered all your questions before so he's proven. yao never has.

Duncan is not 100% healthy right now. Did you see BOTH his knees wrapped? Not good. Manu being out is forcing Parker and Duncan to carry a heavier load / play extended minutes. Spurs will struggle with health during the playoffs.
i haven't read this thread but one thing i've noticed since the dallas/sa playoff series in 06, finesse centers give ducan a lot more trouble on both ends of the court. Diop gave him more trouble than dampier
Duncan doesn't get a "free pass." He gets a pass that he's earned with two MVPs, three Finals MVPs, and four championships. Not to mention that his team has NEVER won fewer than 56 games in a (non-lockout) season.

on the defensive end, diop wasn't muscling duncan like dampier which is a losing proposition, maybe finesse isn't the appropriate adjective
The reason why there are so many anti-Yao posters after every Rockets game that we lose is because of the anti-China posters who are on every NBA message board. They hate everything Chinese. They view it as their job to turn everyone against Chinese people because China is rising, and they do not want China to rise and seem prominent and Chinese people to seem equal, and not inferior. They actually spend most of their spare time doing this, waging a disinformation campaign to brainwash and convince everyone to believe in lies and exaggerated falsehoods about Chinese people, and therefore turn everyone against meek humble Chinese people. They are like "Spider-Men", or puppetmasters trying to turn other people into their "puppets" and control everyone from above the stage, weaving webs of lies and attaching strings to everyone to try to manipulate and control everyone to become brainwashed zombies doing bad things to Chinese people, or attack dogs fueled by lies and false beliefs, like meek humble Chinese people and anything Chinese are the worst things on Earth. They are trying to get everyone, as you can see through understanding, in order to do their evil bidding, which is to be against Chinese people and also to prevent them from rising in world society as China rises as a nation and gains international prominence. Despite their sunny, white-washed ways on the surface and the idealistic things that they say, they do not want to watch China and Chinese people to rise to an equal status to other people and the other nations. They use the media and Internet venues--such as message boards to do their evil deeds, and to brainwash and control everyone to turn against Chinese people and China like Sith Lords trying to get everyone to do their evil deeds and evil bidding and they try to turn everyone into Sith Lords and Dark Jedi themselves by brainwashing and convincing people to believe in overly negative things about Chinese people and China, like China is like the rise of the evil German Nazi Empire regime and the Third Reich and the Beijing 2008 Olympics will be terrible, and everything will go wrong with it like Berlin, Germany's 1936 Olympics. And they are slowly getting what they wish to happen by angering China and doing worse things to them month by month and getting China responding to them by offending China when China wasn't originally like that towards them. leading to...but that is another story. Anyway, they are liars, false information, and disinformation specialists, lying and stirring up trouble for Chinese people by trying to turn everyone against them. They are not human anymore, they are spider-wolves, in sheep's clothing. They take a great pleasure in other people's suffering and domination of other people, so that they can think that they are "superior" to other people and "king of the world" instead of "merely" equal, which they feel doesn't exist. And they take a great pleasure and joy in torturing and oppressing the weak, despite the many "golden" exceptions to that hard and fast "rule". The more Yao Ming does well, and the better he does, the more of them their are, and the more of them there will be. So, be prepared fpr them, and careful not to destroy yourselves by foolishly fighting them, or the other extreme, paying attention to them or believing them either. Judge for yourself, with an sincere and honest mind, loving the truth and wanting to believe it, follow it, and practice it. There are tons of them on this and other sports message boards where Yao Ming is discussed, people who only post to bash Yao when Yao does poorly and the Rockets lose, and who are fairly silent the rest of the time, and who post unjust, not right, overly negative opinions of Yao to try to turn other people against them. They are all over Clutchfans like a bed which is infested by harmful parasites. People always get in arguments against them because their opinions are unjust and not the truth and their opinions are biased and don't seem right. Those people do not have enough wisdom and depth to see through their disguises and do not comprehend how others could be so evil and do not realize who they really are: predators in sheep's clothing. These people do not realizing that they are disguising their true motivations--which is trying to turn other people against Chinese people to hate and harm Chinese. The predators try to manipulate and control others and to get others to do so themselves by disguising their manipulations as their "true opinion" on things, and bashing, and downing anything Chinese, and trying to pass it on as "objective fact". Yeah, the turn-everyone-against-the rising-superpower-China wolves in sheep's clothing posters are out in force. I just wish there were no international politics factors interfering with the Rockets and Yao. I think that without the cheating refs, the Rockets would have advanced beyond the first round of the playoffs a long time ago. I'll bet this year they don't advance past the first round because of the refs also. I suspect some of the posters posting up negative things about Yao with Chinese screennames aren't even really genuine Chinese people, but wolves in sheep's clothing posing as Chinese posters trying to give more credibility to their posts by having Chinese screennames, because every time the Rockets lose and Yao does poorly, certain posters are here on this board downing him and the Rockets, but every time the Rockets win and Yao does well, they are not even here on this board and do not post at all They are not real Rockets fans, they are here just to turn Americans against Yao and Chinese people from what I can figure out. They should be on a Washington conservative neo-con thinktank rather than on a NBA Houston Rockets fan message board. Give me a break. You never know who's who or what's what is on the Internet or TV and movies anymore, you just have to take everything with a grain of salt and judge according to truth and justice while being fair, impartial, and unbiased, as best you can. No 1 SHOULD TRUST what u read on the Internet anyway,& accept it at face value. There are just 2 many racists,liars,disguisers and manipulators,on the Internet. The Internet has broken down 2 the point where people r bad,& u can't tell who's who or what's what anymore and u can't tell what the truth is. Take what u see & read with a grain of salt,good advice. Form your own conclusions,& base your opinion on real life,& not just what you've seen in an online anonymous disguised virtual world. The way you avoid them and recognize their telltale presence is to be selfless, humble, honest, fair, impartial, just, and to always aim to do the right thing towards people. Then, when you are like that yourself, and you judge other things, you can the truth more clearly, and then you will be able to see the people who are good people and trying to do the right things towards other people, and then you can see the people who are crooked and devious and two-faced and have ulterior motives, and be able to see people's true motivations behind their words and actions through their nice-on-the-outside disguises. I warn you though, only if you are like that and Good yourself, can you see through people's nice-on-the-outside disguises and see bad people for who they truly are, as I have noticed sometimes that predator sometimes fools predator in this world. Then you can avoid them, and avoid damage from them. Despite all this, its a wonder that Chinese people can still be Good and nice and decent people and still treat other people well with all of these people around doing this to them, but many still can and do.

Gasol might be underrated big man and played during this stretch over the last two years. But, I would never take Gasol over Duncan or Yao. If anyone else does, then they don't value *defense*. Gasol can score points, but I don't think he can stop too many though. Teams live around the basket, because of him. At times, he is a weak link on that team defensively.
Of course a proven player at the age of 32 can get a free pass, Yao is far more younger and far less proven than Tim Duncan. Plus check out that duncan is paired up with Bonner, whose i don´t think you know but sucks on offense, defense. he´s like puting Novak alongside Yao, i don´t want to imagine how it would be. Oh and did i say that Duncan has 4 championships, two MVP 3 Finals MVP and a couple of more awards i won´t care to check??
I don´t know if you watched those Wstern finals, but duncan was treated like Yao by the refs and Nowitzki was treated like MJ. Plus, he played that finals with Planctar Facitis.. or something like that if i recall well.
but Duncan can really get a lot of rebounds. He will never be a weak link as long as he can grab 12-15 rebounds with ease. when he is turned on.
