One bad shooting game doesn't change the awesomeness of Ron Artest. The guy should absolutely be retained except in the highly unlikely event that some team offers him an unreasonably large contract.

Where else can you find an elite defender with nice offensive skills and sweet stroke from beyond?

    Um.....

Reggie did it for an entire career.

Ron isn't nearly the three point shooter that Miller was.

And the Lebron part....well thats just Artest being Artest

If you are serious, please don't even compare Reggie Miller to Ron Artest at 3s especially in the clutch. Also, please don't even say Lebron and Ron in the same sentence...

I really like addition of Artest in Houston, he brings passion and effort every night.

But Reggie Miller? I mean that dude is arguably the best three point shooter ever.

    And LeBron is LeBron...

Nevermind the comparisons, I really like Ron and I wish Rockets can make a title run with him, ofcourse health is always an issue.

Hardly, his defense doesn't make up for his streaky shooting and inability to set up other players. I could name over a dozen players that play his position that I'd take than Artest.

I don't mind him on the cheap, but he's not a superstar.

Haha how can you even compare artests shooting to reggies let alone in the same breath with lebron. Don't get me wrong artest is a great defender and everything but on offense he is not all that.

He will be the PERFECT 3rd option when we start playing with that wasted 23 million we have rotting on the sideline...

Come on, you can let the Lebron thing go because of what Artest said, and sure they were teammates in Indiana(Ron and Reggie) but he never said anything about being a great 3 point shooter.

We do not have a superstar, and have not had one in 10+ years.

With Adelman, that matters very little.

no wonder Artest thinks big of himself.

    too bloody big.

artest wants this team to be his, he isn't good enough. never will be.

LOL Ron isn't nearly as athletically gifted as Lebron and he doesn't have nearly the shooting touch of Miller.

Perhaps you had 1 too many special brownies for dessert.

Reggie Miller? Lebron James? Really? Bwahahaha. The only comparison possible is maybe his body type being similar to Lebron James.

Has to be the brownies. Reggie will hit day in and day out, and I don't see Artest doing spectacular dunks Lebron does. (I wish RonRon would dunk more though.)

sorry for the double, there's no edit function....

my favorite part of this thread is the multiple people saying "dude, he's good, but LeBron?"

Or, "I dont know. Miller had a GREAT touch from 3"

    This thread is a joke.

Ron's athleticism is light years beyond Lebron's and his 3 point shot makes Reggie Miller look like Chuck Hayes.

I would say Ron is more like Jordan's athleticism but 3 times better with 6 times Shaq's strength PLUS twice David Stern's ability to fix games and make himself unaccountable to the league, the fans, the media and the FBI.

Sooooo, let me get this straight. Ron Artest is a combination of one of the top 3 players in the league he currently plays in and one of the greatest three point shooters of all time. I love Ron, but daaaaaaaaaamn!!! Reggie Miller looking good . . and boom goes the dynamite!!
