That black wig makes her way hotter than she is. Her head is kinda big. Reminds me of this nobody from MAD TV.
I figured as much. I hadn't heard that version before but the vocals were out of tune and I couldn't help but notice it. I think she's more attractive as a blond. I noticed that when she was in her uniform and in the sweater she was wearing at the end, they significantly "enhanced" her breast size. I've seen her in 3 movies and she's been nude in each of them. She has small breasts. Not bad, just small and nowhere near the size they made them out to be when she was clothed.
The blue cgi penis became distracting imo. Anytime Dr Manhattan was in a scene with his weiner swinging around that's all I was able to focus on. I lost track of the dialog and the only thing I could think of was how I don't quite measure up to the good doctor. Nobody likes a show off.
Ya know... Thats one thing they didn't translate well from the comic to the movie. In the comic he was tiny and didn't give a damn.
Imagine that you accidentally got disintegrated but were somehow able to reassemble yourself. If you could give your new self a ripped set of muscles, would you give yourself a large dong as well?
Pretty good movie overall. The pacing was definitely slow at some points as was the beginning but I definitely enjoyed it. Rorsasch was a badass and easily the best character out of the film. I'd say 8.0-8.5/10. Saw it in IMAX which made a difference too albeit getting raked over the coals at $11. I didn't read any of the comics prior so I can't say whether it stayed true to the comics etc but I liked it. On a random note, how old are some people complaining about the "blue penis everywhere", 5?? It's not even a factor in any of the scenes at all, lol.
I just saw this.. and I didn't see the big blue nudity! ha, very surprised to read the thread now.. before the movie, my friend said there was a sex scene and some male nudity, and i assumed i missed it at some point during the rape scene or the sex-on-the-ship scene. from the obviousness that you guys make it seem.. i must have been out to lunch. ah well Otherwise, I thought it was an ok movie. Probably could've been shorter. I liked some of the music a lot, but also thought a couple of songs were out of place. Overall it seemed like the story was disjointed sometimes.. I guess that's 'flow'. Not bad or anything though. Also not something I'd watch again
I just got back from this and thought it was really bad. Stupid, self serving and way too long, I was bored out of my mind 2 hours in. The opening 10-15 minutes were great, with the Dylan intro and all of that. Malin Ackermann is an absolutley amazingly atrocious actress; every single thing she said was laughable and awkwardly delivered. Really disappointed, I had high expectations. I haven't read the novel but I heard good things so I went in hoping for a smart, different take on things, and instead I got a movie that was way too long, cheesy, unengaging and not even close to as smart as it thought it was. Ugh. Total waste of three hours.
Not much to add here. It pretty much lived up to my expectations and I thought it was pretty good. 8/10. I don't think Malin Akerman is a very good actress though. The action was cool, but maybe a bit over the top. All in all, though, I would watch it again.
Do you think it will be a better format if the watchmen was a miniseries... there are tons of back story they could have done and I was hoping for that opening sequence to extend to a full length movie not 5 mins...
I wonder why Dr. Manhattan didn't grow out his schlong more, he has the ability to become 1000 feet tall but didn't bother to enlarge his package. I thought the movie was too long, it got boring in some parts. TDK was also long but I never felt bored watching it because every minute of it was fantastic.
The pacing of the Watchman movie is not going to flow like a regular movie because Snyder took a 12 issue comic series and reduced it into 3 hours while still being faithful to the graphic novel. The pacing of the graphic novel was never meant to be made into a movie. Most fans of the Watchmen graphic novel thought that it was an unfilmable book. Even the creator of the Watchmen says it is unflimable. But Snyder got it to the screen and kept the story intact.
