If we ain't winning the 'chip, the season ain't worth it for me buddy.

Sorry, I have somewhat of a higher expectation for the Rockets. If it was the Astros or the Texans, I would be ecstatic about the prospects of getting past the first round.

I am not too much of a fan of "moral victories", if you catch my drift

gotta ya man. I think we all have a pretty high expectation for the Rockets that's why we get mad so often. i still believe the guys on the team can win it all but the odds against it are just not what i was expecting. end of the day there are probably at least 3 teams out there better than us.

Are you serious....Yao is to blame...He is suppose to be our leader yet we blame everybody but him....It's Aarons, Shanes, or Artests' fault...dude Yao was getting exposed again for Pau Gasol killing him on the boards, not boxing out, can't catch the ball, turning it over with no awareness, and of course, not sealing his man behind him....We couldn't get it to Yao because he played like he didn't want it.....This was a glaring example of Tracy healthy or injured would have made a difference...He is a playmaker in the clutch period....We don't have that now with Rafer gone.....PERIOD!

Everyone's blaming Yao, because it WAS Yao's fault. To an extent, of course.

Pau had 5 boards in 42 minutes, Yao had 6 in 36 minutes. I don't know how you can say Pau killed Yao on boards.

The fact is, Pau spent all his time trying to box Yao out on defensive end, so he only gets one rebound, on offense, since Pau usually stays away from basket and he's a good shooter, Yao had to follow him and become out of position to rebound the ball.

Of course Yao was somewhate flatfooted today, I guess playing so many games in a short period has taken a toll on him. But Yao is not the solo reason we gave up that many offensive rebounds. Both Scola and Landry had a huge part with that, and Artest too.

From the Associated Press article on the game:

The Lakers played the double teams to Yao near perfectly, and we had no answer for it tonight.

and the ones who like to bash him for no reason. (aka "haters")

anything has to do with yao sucks. as long as he's here, this rockets team is hopeless. i say let's all leave this board and stop being (or pretending to be) a rockets fan until yao leaves or retires, and make clutch mad...

there's another side of the story. no one seals his man forever. the pass has to come in time, too.

i can never understand a bounce pass from a 5'10 guy to a 7'6 guy at the height of his shin. it is much easier that way for the defender at the back to tip it away (and then yao'd be too slow to chase it down and get it back). lowry's over-the-head, lob-like pass is a lot better.

Yeah, the turn-everyone-against-the rising-superpower-China wolves in sheep's clothing posters are out in force

I just wish there were no international politics factors interfering with the Rockets and Yao. I think that without the cheating refs, the Rockets would have advanced beyond the first round of the playoffs a long time ago. I'll bet this year they don't advance past the first round because of the refs also.

I suspect some of the posters posting up negative things about Yao with Chinese screennames aren't even really genuine Chinese people, but wolves in sheep's clothing posing as Chinese posters trying to give more credibility to their posts by having Chinese screennames, because every time the Rockets lose and Yao does poorly, certain posters are here on this board downing him and the Rockets, but every time the Rockets win and Yao does well, they are not even here on this board and do not post at all  They are not real Rockets fans, they are here just to turn Americans against Yao and Chinese people from what I can figure out.

They should be on a Washington conservative neo-con thinktank rather than on a NBA Houston Rockets fan message board. Give me a break. You never know who's who or what's what is on the Internet or TV and movies anymore, you just have to take everything with a grain of salt and judge according to truth and justice while being fair, impartial, and unbiased, as best you can.

No 1 SHOULD TRUST what u read on the Internet anyway,& accept it at face value. There are just 2 many racists, liars, disguisers and manipulators,on the Internet. The Internet has broken down 2 the point where people r bad,& u can't tell who's who or what's what anymore and u can't tell what the truth is. Take what u see & read with a grain of salt, good advice. Form your own conclusions,& base your opinion on real life,& not just what you've seen in an online anonymous disguised virtual world.

Yao is a robot, that's his biggest strength and his biggest weakness. He can't adapt to changes made down the stretch, you often see him making the same mistake over and over again (failing to seal out Gasol) because he lacks the intuition to deal with it. It's strange to me considering he is such a witty guy, but I guess at 7'6 you can't really "improvise" with your body. Nonetheless, very few big men have been offensively clutch in the zone defense era, so I can't fault him too much for it. We need a perimeter player who can create in a half court setting with McGrady gone.

Dont let that zone bs fool you....Hakeem would still be Hall of Fame material if he played today.

Couldn't have said it better myself. it's hard enough to catch a bounce pass when you're normal size, i can imagine it being even harder for a man that is 7'6". it's hard to completely seal a defender, you guys make it sound like the defender is not pushing back with all his strength trying to dislodge you. I'm sorry DD cuz you make great posts and contribute to this board immensely so I am shocked to read one of your posts in this thread that sounds incredibly un-DD like, but your fat ass couldn't make it 3 times up and down a basketball court and you aren't even 7'6".

And I suspect some of the posters on this board pretending to be Rockets fans are actually China fans who don't care about the Rockets and just want to turn the board against America.
