Wafer actually made the shots for us. Artest... can't say the same.

But, we kept running plays for Yao. He didn't know how to post Pau Gasol... Pau was just poking/stealing the ball from Yao, due to Yao's inability to seal off his man. I don't believe Shaq/Hakeem or any top tier center should let that happen.

Not to mention all the rebounds that gets taken from him.

today in the last 6 min alone, von wafer drove twice = 2 TOs, Artest couple TO and missed shots, yao standing in there. Yao touched the ball 2 times, 1 time being kick out to AB for the 3 that tied the game and other time being a missed a hook. I've said before that pounding into yao every play in the fourth quarter is too predictable but damn after watch this game I know that atleast yao can dish it back out to generate more effecient and easier baskets than those artest and wafer tried to dream of.

Maybe yao should do a better job muscle gasol but truly most of those entry passes are super low quality passes

Exactly. Yao does not seal off his man effectively which leads to turnovers.

With great power comes great responsibility

Its fair to blame big Yao for the collapse due to his unintelligible absence when this team need him to score just like Kobe ... another poor game of big fella ...anyway the confidence still there ...see you Lakers in the WC final when our 'angry Yao' back on track

btw, this team need a better organizer before talking about any 'miracle' ..(no offense to AB fans )

i know what you mean but that 3+1 AB had from Yao was probably the only play he executed properly in the 4th qtr. Yao gets to do these kind of stuff a lot because he gets double team every time, which Artest or Wafer don't.

Yao normally would capitalize these double teams and make the opponent pay but tonight was just a bad one..... it happened lots before but tonight is just another one of them.

you dont pass the ball when you see that there's an arm dangling on yaos chest and when you pass to yao, don't bounce pass to his knee, over the head pass would help. And battier, please don't pass the ball into yao when you see kobe is running towards him from the back.

except they didn't even play another good methodical half court set involving your big 7ft6 center. I guess he is not big enough

I don't think that was ever in question. Even the most hardened Yao apologists would not make the argument that Yao can LEAD a team to a championship.

The question becomes, then: where can we get that elusive #1 guy? (I know, there is some irony here). It is not like these guys grow on trees. There is probably less than 10 of them in the entire league, and all we are certain of at this point is that Yao is not one of them.

and oh, low bounce pass when Yao has a far more mobile defender is just a bad idea.

Yao definitely isn't one of them.... but that isn't the main problem here if we just look into this year's playoff picture. we can play good team ball, all we have to do is just to limit the T/O. way too many tonight.
