I don't know about ever, but certainly top 5 in the league right now, and has really been pretty much forever. His clumsiness and inability to block off players behind him (for seven years running now, which means no hope of correcting it) will ALWAYS make him a HUGE liability in the last 2 minutes of a game. You pretty much have to work through Scola or Artest if you are going to the post up in the end.

Whatever, he is what he has always been. It is not Yao's fault that he is a bona fide second banana, and yet the Rockets insist on making it "Yao's team" (maybe they are trying to corner the Chinese market, I am not sure)

The Rockets have to address the problem of in bound passes to Yao. Get Yao some coaching on sealing off his defender and teammates practice better in bounds passes. The Rockets turnover the ball too much.

Yao's not guilty. Once again, our coaching staff, outcoached.

They cand put an answer for that type of defense. We've watched it a lot of times.

Like against Bulls: blame Rick Adelman and Ron Artest. Kobe pissed in him.

That's why we gave the ball to McGrady in the clutch. He would either drive and dish out to the 3 point shooters, drive and dish to Yao, take a J (worst option, but at least it always had a chance), or drive and get to the bucket. Artest is a bull, but he can't carry a team in the 4th if his J isn't falling; his handles are too weak and his passing isn't very good. What a depressing game.

what truly matters.. is that Yao couldn't seal off his man the majority of the 4th.. in a close game.. and that man was Pau freaking Gasol.. the times he did.. he was given the ball.. and proceeded to do absolutely nothing with it..

not to mention in the third.. he got stripped not once.. not twice.. but three times by Kobe.. from the back.. repeating those miserable mistakes against double teams..

none of that.. is anyone else's responsibility.. but his own..

when you have brooks on your team, you are 7'6 and he is 5'9 and he bounce pass or he dribbles, dribbles, and dribbles

yeah trade him, Yao + 2nd round pick for Nene sounds good, or Yao + 1st round for Gordon.
It's very uncommon to see a center who can't create his own shot in the 4th, considering there're lots of clutch 4th quater Centers in NBA history.

seriously, Yao lacks basketball fundamental such as running, jumping, grabbing the ball, dribbling and basketball IQ.

    Yao plays like a wuss.

He is not a force, when he is challenged he crumbles...and goes in hiding.

If you are double teamed go aggresively to the glass and PUNISH them with rebounds.

If you are not doubled SEAL YOUR MAN....with your arms out wide........it has been 7 years....how long does it take to learn something I learned in one practice in 5th grade?

Kobe is their go to guy. They put the ball in his hands and he hits tough shots. We put the ball in Yao's hands and he drops it or throws it away!!!

That's why Lakers are championship bound and Rockets will be dumped out first round yet again.

I don't want to upset our Chinese posters, but it's time to accept that Yao isn't, never has been, and never will be, capable of leading an elite NBA team.

If YAO is a MAN, he gets on the stage tonite in the after-interviews and takes full responsibility for this...the way he complained about the refs in Utah.

You dont 'stop' Kobe...you counter him with your 'star'.

Yao and Adelman need to own this publicly.

Everyones dogging Artest, but it aint on Artest.
He hustles...boneheaded from time to time...but he's not our 'star'...is he?

How many offensive fouls did Yao have tonite?
Its an indication of just how hard he is fighting for position.

And yea, this was a 'must win' game...cause all the others dont mean squat aesthetically if you cant beat..

Did you even watch a single minute of the game tonight?

Aaron Brooks has GOT to learn that he cannot bounce pass the ball to a giant. The reason that Yao gets "butterfingers" is because Aaron keeps bouncing passing it to Yao, letting Yao's defender get in front of him.

Aaron really needs to learn to chest pass it to Yao.
