Totally and utterly pointless to give him the ball in a situation that matters. He is butterfingered. You might as well just throw the ball to the other team and save everyone some time and effort. Did Yao even manage to catch a single pass in the second half today? Beyond useless. Waste of time even watching.

Battier and brooks were partly to blame.

I'm guessing those entry passers have nothing to do with it, I mean their is just another guy coming when they pass it to him.

It is in no way Yao Ming's fault.

He has a 5'11" player trying to roll the ball into him in the post. He is also very inexperienced.

Rick Adelman's fourth quarter game plan is so predictable with Yao in the game. Just force feed him. Do you know how amazingly easy it is for the opposition when they know where the ball is going EVERY SINGLE PLAY?

All the excuses in the world can't cut it tonight guys. We can't go our go to guy because he can't catch a ball.

What kind of a basketball player can't catch a ball? What kind of a "superstar" is rendered totally and utterly ineffective by a simple double team? Did Yao even manage to pass out of a single double team tonight? He threw the ball away almost every single time.

Brooks is all dribble but can't make a pass. Steve Francis part II, but not as good

How would you expect a 7'6 310 pound player to catch a ball that's 10 feet away from him?

Sorry, but Yao is not the blame for not being able to catch the ball. He deserve blame for not sealing the player off, yes that's true. However, He sealed him off the majority of the game.

If you are going to blame anyone Blame Battier or Brooks. Battier for sure because 5 of the turnovers came from him.

I'll admit Yao was very slow in passing the ball out on the double teams, but outside of that, there can be no blame placed on him.

    Give him a break.

I think Yao is Ok this game. just look at his FG%
What did Mr Battier and Artest do? So many wide open 3's.

You can say Gasol outplayed Yao but you can't say that he is unclutch. He got one shot attempt in fourth and few touch in general. This is partly due to the good defense the lakers employed but brooks just don't know how to pass the ball. One play tells it all, yao had deep prosition, but all brook could do was dribble behind the 3pt line and dribble some more

You remember those old school video games, where they have a big boss at the end? The one badass that you couldn't beat no matter what you do? But, then you figure out that one weakness it has, and the AI, with its one-track mind, can't do anything about it. After that, the game becomes a piece of cake, and you can beat it in your sleep. Well, that's Yao.
