I would automatically rookify you for that if I had the power. Hey are you from Houston? You know there's a university there that went to Final Four And the record is we never drafted HAKEEM. we drafted. AKEEM.
Ok looks like my thread was misunderstood. The question was whether or not the chemistry would click. Clearly the responders are either *** or Denver fans. Pls lock. People just don't know how to think pure basketball.
With Kobe here we'd have enough talent to split our team into two and both teams would make the playoffs....so in other words, i'm sure we'd find some kind of combination where there would be chemistry, or just trade everyone except for Kobe and Yao, scola, landry, brooks, lowry and shane. Ron and wafer woulld be redundant and the two biggest possible problems, so you can ship them for something we need, like size. Get back at least tyrus somehow, Brooks/lowry Kobe/any guy walking around houston Shane/Landry Tyrus/Scola Yao (tyrus here also)
If Kobe was drafted as a Rocket, we'd probably have one or two more championships, but he probably would have went to another team like the Lakers, Celtics or Knicks the MINUTE, his contract was done, like many teams are hoping Lebron will do. He would have probably kept Hakeem here though for his last year, as they would have been great together.
if we drafted Jordan instead of THE GREATEST PLAYER TO EVER PLAY THE GAME, we wouldn't have the championships.. we would have an exciting selfish flashy scoring champion who has trouble passing the ball to Matt Bullard, Chucky Brown and Mario Elie because he doesn't trust them, and he would probably be out of the league because Maxwell would've destroyed his ego/entire being.. give me a time machine and I'll still draft the dream a million times over Jordan
Well we could have drafted him that year if he fell down to the 2nd round and the 31st pick. Instead of Othella Harrington. Ha
Not that i liked this thread any better than you....but obviously houston wouldn't have the same exact team in 94 had it drafted MJ, you can't just switch out the two. It's very possible Houston would have some rings as well. Maybe they draft Arvydas Sabonis instead of Buck Johnson in 86, or AC green or Terry porter instead of SG Steve Harris in '85. They could have built a championship team around MJ as well...
