I don't remember who it was exactly but it was either JVG or CD who said the Rockets were going to take Thabo if the Battier trade did not happen. Ronnie Brewer was also in the mix.

dude hasn't progressed and doesn't play D. Maybe he'll go to the mavs. They need a backup, and he'll go back to playing behind Kidd.

And Wafer was never given a chance by other teams. Williams, on the other hand, actually got playing time in NJ and GS, but his minutes decreased in GS.

He's not playoff eligible so it's really pointless to even entertain the idea unless somebody gets injured. He's basically the James White of PG's -- possesses the skills necessary to succeed in the NBA but their attitude, work ethic and allergy to improvement have held them back considerably. Hopefully that's no longer the case with White.

Na, we have kyle lowry and Aaron Brooks. Getting him would be useless

I think Houston should give him a chance if we can. He is not so bad in NJ. He has size and experience. He is still young.he is not expensive.

Not sure what happened to him. I liked his play a lot in NCAA of course, I am Uconn Alumni. But seeing him diminished like this, just make me sad...

The dude's a bust, plain and simple lol. I'd rather have that Barrera guy we had in summer league or even bring back the Strawberry Wafer combo rather than this guy. He has good court vision but nothing else, every other skill he has is mediocre to average including shooting. He also has a terrible attitude. I mean, how else can you mess up getting drafted by a team in the east while being Kidd's backup?

before you post this, have you thought about how can banks get any minutes when james white's not even in freakin uniform yet??!! Dont suggest signing the dude just cause you liked him back in the days man. Our bench's set.

    1) Why?
    2) He's a PG and we have 2 PG's
    3) If he got cut by the Warriors, why would we pick him up?
    4) Even if we pick him up he won't be able to play

Why would GSW cut him now instead of at the 3/1 deadline? It would seem to me that on 3/1 they thought they'd keep him on the roster through the end of the year. And then something happened to make him not worth the trouble.

watched him live at a d-league game...guy definitly has a strock and is built right to be a sweet guard....he lacks the aggressive drive to the basket attitude and looks really passive...his d was suspect as well

I wouldn't pick him up unless we really needed to fill a spot
