No its not a custom Rockets pistol. Just a Ruger .45 I am looking to sell. Let me know if ur interested.
I'd recommend selling it consignment through someone with a FFL. There is nothing in illegal about selling a firearm from person to person in TX. However, if you end up selling it to someone on here who would normally be ineligible to buy one from a dealer, then you could possibly be held liable (criminally and civilly) if that person uses that gun to commit a crime, or is even caught with it.
Thanks for the input. Actually my only responsibility is to check for a TX DL. I can't "knowingly" sell it to someone to someone who is looking to commit a crime. At least as far as I have been able to determine.
Its in very good condition. I am asking 400 for it with no shipping. I can send you and email with pics if you are interested.
Legally, this is correct. But I believe you have exposure to civil action if you sell it to a criminal and he goes on a rampage, regardless of whether you knew his status or not. BTW, as a FFL I do transfers for $10.
I'm very interested as i've been trying to get my old Ruger back i sold to a friend a year ago. I'd like to have another .45 stopper. You can even call the ATF hotline number and they'll approve me in a second which should be free. Please send me some good pictures and any detailed info you have on it including how many times you would roughly say you've shot it and clean it? I can pay cash, check, paypal, etc. texan2662@yahoo.com
Otto out of curiosity where in town are you located should I want to use your services in the future??
Yes, if they include a photocopy of their driver's license or something similar (they can grey out the license number if they want, I just need a copy of an official document with their address listed for my log book).
