The McGradites are like cockroaches, they hide out for a while then come in with full force after Microfracture was announced.

It is never Tmac's fault...ever....didn't you see the dunk on Bradley?

I am with you on JVG's lack of offensive imagination.

But unfortunately T-mac and JVG operate on the same wavelength when it comes to offensive schemes. Their philosophy; the "superstar" needs to take the vast majority of the shots.

I don't believe this attitude will help us advance in the playoffs.

For example: Jordan could've scored 60 points a game in the playoffs, but he made a point of getting everyone else involved first because he understood the team concept and the importance of incorporating everyone else.

That said, I feel we are much better with out T-mac's one man show attitude
    on this team.

Healthy Tmac is better Then Healthy Ron Artest. End of discussion..

But its a good point..Artest is a better fit in this system because Artest doesnt demand to make plays and can stand still and shoot 3s when Yao is on tha post

This guy is a bandwagoner. He was the first to denounce the artest trade. Now he's all over him cause we are winning. What a hypocrit...

Dallas playoff series - Give me Tmac all day everyday. Ron is slightly crazy thought. The Chicago game proves the point. Tmac could also play defense. However, Ron takes defense personally every trip down the floor.

It must be awfully convenient having all of your bases covered. You've been dogging Artest since Day 1 (actually more like since before the trade, then you stopped dogging him and got on board, then when things looked downhill you dogged him again "because he didn't fit", and now that things are back on the upswing he is your savior and is a '9' on defense but you have your bases covered because you merely were claiming he didn't fit with mcgrady. because t-mac must have affected ron's defense too) but now he's better than mcgrady ever was.

lol, i wish i was making this stuff up.

the collective reliance on short term memory of this board is reaching epic proportions. it's gotten to the point where i can only laugh.

Are we talking about this year Tracy? Because if we are theres no doubt whos better a blind man could see it. But if we're talking about Tracy when healthy its not even close.

Ron Artest is funnier than Tracy McGrady. And Yao Ming. And Shane Battier.

"LeBron is um, a more athletic and um, improved um, Ron Artest."

A healthy Tmac and Yao > a healthy Ron and Yao. Unfortunately, we didn't have a healthy Tmac this year. I fail to see how Ron shooting off balanced, contested 3s is fitting with Yao. With Ron, Brooks, and Yao on the floor, it's every man for himself. At least Tmac looked to dish on the PnR and set up Yao for plenty of easy buckets in his day. The Tmac/Yao experiment was simply cursed by ill-health, unfortunately.

We've just been lucky that we've faced and beaten a bunch of garbage post-All star. Wins will usually obscure any glaring deficiencies we have. Let's hope it lasts a bit longer. Certainly, we have a break w/ Odom and Ariza out for the Lakers tomorrow.

You are making this stuff up, you are completely taking what I said out of context.....I did say he didn't fit with Tracy, and guess what? He didn't......I said it was a risk putting a strong personality like him in the locker room, and HUH, locker room problems surfaced, and of course Tmac effected Ron's defense Ron looked at what Tmac was doing perceived him as slacking to to me looks like he said "Screw it" for a while.

I also said, once TMac went down to keep him...that is not keeping bases covered, that is changing your mind to keep up with a changing dynamic of the team, if you recall I even said...Keep Artest, trade Battier in a thread once Tmac was out....It would be stupid to not look at the current situation and make adjustments.

I am sorry that Tmac didn't cut it here, and that he is now perceived for what he really is, a very talented, lazy player, who refuses to adjust his game for the good of the team.

So laugh it up, because to me, it is not funny, it is flat out sad.

It is better for all if he just moves on.......don't you agree?

(Edit) Watching the Spurs game now and the announcers are commenting on how the Rockets are playing MUCH better without Tmac and they hear the locker room is a better place now....Interesting..no?

I don't consider these teams below to be garbage; whom we beat after the All-Star break.

    Dallas
    Portland
    Cleveland
    Phoenix
    Denver

Also two other notable wins w/o Tracy were against San Antonio and Boston pre All-Star.

No doubt TMac's talent > Artest, however basket ball is about winning. Artest is better at defense, and have a bigger heart. Tmac tends to disappear when it matters the most. So the small margin in talent really can't overcome his softness.

Overall, I prefer Artest, sometime NBA game is all about clutch plays, and T-MAC simply failed (don't get me all his ppg stuff during playoffs, just gave me a good game at game 7 vs Dallas and Utah (twice) ).

I agree, but it would be interesting if there was a way to track how they played in head to head matchups...

I still wanna know how we lost to the Mavericks and Jazz after being up 2-0

IMO neither series should have went to a 7th game
