i hadn't seen the foul, but although it was a dumb of yao to try to reach in, chauncey ducking down and going into Yao's arm makes it look dumber than it was and created most of the contact, if not all.

There is a reason coaches preach "don't reach!"

You dont even give the refs a chance to make a call. On the lower level of play(YMCA, jr high) many refs will whistle you even if you dont touch the guy.

May be Yao had the visions of steal, behind the back dribble and dunk : )

That sure was one of the dumbest fouls.. and next 2 fouls by Scola. Send nuggest to free throw line for 6pts in about 30 secs. we almost lost

Yao must have thought he was Hakeem for a moment.

of course, if Billups had done that to Yao, no foul would have been called on Billups, although Yao might be called for the offensive foul.

Thanks, that was indeed a terrible foul and Adelman probably wants to kick Yao's ass. Sometimes it's good to have a coach who's as calm as him, Rudy T or JVG would've gone maaaaaddddd, cursing, stomping on the ground, pulling their haird :D

    Ron Artest is hilarious, man!

Wouldn't you hate to play against this guy? He just tries so hard. Before I got into watching basketball games and knowing who Artest was, I was a local (Sacramento) fan. He had about 7 steals in one game against the Kings and I was like, WHO THE F IS THAT GUY? It was Kings vs Pacers around 04.

Ron Artest needs to patent his tantrums.
