Please look at the replay, after he got the block he spun Rudy around by 'throwing' Rudy's arm to the floor (don't know the right words here). He was clearly mad and decided to to run after Rudy and maybe intended to block the ball, it's obvious he didn't care whether Rudy would be hurt during the process or not. After the foul, he simply stood there. If he really cared, he would've walked right to Rudy and see how he's doing. Also, here's Feigen's take on it: Odom's suspension should be automatic. No decision to be made. I think Ariza should have gotten one game, but he didn't. -- Jonathan Ariza will not be suspended. I thought he might be. Odom should miss the game, Odom definitely. -- Jonathan
V3.0, Stu Jackson is an idiot.....and the NBA is doing a piss poor job of protecting it's players. Just because he agrees with you does not make it right, but it does mean you have at least 2 things in common with him. DD
Clearly the anti-Ariza crowd who do not agree with Stu's ruling are the ones who are the idiots and not thinking clearly. NBA Vice President's opinion who is thinking with a clear mind > a common fan's opinion who is emotional and distraught over Rudy's fall A red flag should go up when DD takes side on a topic, the correct side is usually opposite of what he sides with. And I am done with this topic, I'm going for happy hour now.
I thought the foul on Yao last night by jones was worse. It's just that Yao barely gets off the ground and has much more weight to take the hit w/o being spun. Plus Yao had the benefit of being able to see Jones coming into him. I didn't see the replay on Jone's foul on Yao but it looked like he got nothing buy body and face. he didn't even get high enough to block the ball at the rim which is what you have to do in order to block Yao from that range.
All I know is Odom better be suspended. Intent or not is BS. If the NBA says he had no intent of getting involved (when he did) then the Suns should just leave the NBA. I hope they have already gave his suspension and it will be announced already. No reason to think about it, by rule...suspension.
