http://thai-cottage.com/greenway.html Good place to eat for fast Thai food Nit Noi for a great Thai food experience
Thai Gourmet on Richmond between Fountainview and Hillcroft tip: medium is really spicy spicy is really extra spicy
i third this. the red curry from here is probably my favorite dish in the city, but i don't think any of their dishes besides their curry's are that gread. sewadee near whole foods on bellaire is good too. alot of people rave about Nidda on westheimer near montrose. have been meaning to make it over there for awhile.
I am really looking for some authentic Pad Thai if that helps. Right now seems like the Bellaire place gets the best run.
If you aren't interested in ambiance, and you don't mind gruff service from the "Thai Nazi," and your only real concern is the food, then Houston has one of the best Thai restaurants in the country in Kanomwan. It isn't cheap considering the neighborhood and ambiance and service, but the food is worth it, and it is BYOB. Standouts are the "H15" shrimp (or whole red snapper prepared the same way) and the best example of Thom Kha Gai I've ever tasted.
Thai Spice in is the Village. No, Thai Spice in the Village does not have a dinner buffet. Nit Noi is no longer in the Village. Their building got tore down for some high price condos (which aren't even started yet due to the lack of building loans).
Ah, you found my achilles heal when it comes to food! I do not like Thai, and therefore can be no help. Sorry.
Mai Thai on Kirby just north of the Village has become a Thai - Texas BarBQ fusion joint. I *** you not. Caveat emptor.
It sucks for me because I was really getting into Thai lately, and then I got really ****faced drunk after eating Thai, and now anything with coconut milk is making my stomach turn.
Good idea to take that advice to heart. I was dying after eating some pad thai which was "medium spicy".
