Well its time once again to evaluate the trade that brought one guy to the Rockets and sent several Rockets to Vancouver. Well the Rockets have the Better record. But, other than Francis supposedly the Grizzleys have the better players. But here is what it boils down to, Mobley vs. Dickerson (Mobley wins, because his role is defined) Anderson vs. A. Rahim (Anderson has the step up because of his hard nosed defense, does the dirt work) Cato vs. Reeves (well this is a toss up) Francis vs. Bibby (Francis no doubt about it) The Rockets are winning because they have guys who are willing to give up part of their game for the benefit of the team. ------------------
Actually, I see it more like this: Mobley vs. Dickerson: A wash. Anderson vs. Rahim: Rahim slaughters Anderson. Anderson's good, but Rahim is superstar great. Cato vs. Reeves: Cato wins. Sure he only shows up occasionally, but the same goes for Reeves. Francis vs. Bibby: Again a wash, maybe a slight tilt Francis' way. Thomas vs. Harrington: Again a wash. Rudy T vs. Hollins: Rudy T by a land-slide. The only reason Vancouver doesn't have twice as many wins as they do is poor management. ------------------
I agree with you Juan Valdez, all except for the Bibby vs. Francis comparison. Bibby may be more suited for his team, and Francis to his, but I think Francis is a much better, quicker, and more explosive player with every bit as good court vision. ------------------ HOOP-T Hey Shaq, Acme called, and they want their bricks back!
My assessment exactly. I vote with my southern friend with the fine corinthian leather saddle on his cafe donkey called Exxon.
