Glad you rate yourself so highly....Not saying you are stupid but your post sure was lacking in intelligence, which unfortunatly for you is the norm.

I had a Dream T-Mac got Raded to the Spurs and They Beat us 8 times the next Season. With Tracy Dropping 40 Each Game and every time he scored he looked right in RA's eyes. In addition to us getting swept in the first round and Tracy sweping the bench off

The entire team flipped a switch whenever McGrady was out of the lineup this year. Do we conclude that no one likes McGrady?

Before you get upset - I'm not picking on you, there are no rolleyes in this post, and you didn't piss in my cheerios. I'm just responding to a post in a thread.

Smart guys will trade a healthy Tmac for players who fit with RA's system.

I have to say DD is a stupid boy :D

I think it is fairly clear by their body language in how they played without Tmac versus how they played WITH TMac that there were some serious issues between him and the team.

Then you factor in the insider posts from Doc Rocket etc, and it is even more clear that the team had issues with him.

Teams get tired of prima donnas pointing fingers especially when there is the perception that they are not working as hard as others.

Teams will put up with it as long as said player is playing at a great level, but as soon as that stops, they will turn their backs on the finger pointing and lack of effort.

That is exactly what I see has happened.....regardless of injury, I think the team turned their back on Tmac.....this year.

    FIFY.

Nope, you took an out of context argument in a lame attempt at a snipe job, and got shot down.

I expected better out of self declared King......maybe my expectations are too high.

    Cue the crickets........

No no, I don't want you banned. I just want you to be fair in your arguments....you know you are taking an out of context bit and trying to apply it as a snipe.

I actually enjoy the banter, just get tired when people make an out of context gripe, and it riles up the kids, who don't know better.

    You do.

You guys are a bunch of idiots. Fans and writers alike, I have to say. And this is coming from someone who is not really enamored with McGrady and has never really been over the years.

But lets camouflage over this team's alarming weaknesses and continue to act like a jilted girlfriend by bashing 'that guy' who is not even on the team anymore.

DD's a good guy. he just needs to take courage to concede that he had said something wrong about Ron Artest. ;)

Again DD's my favorite poster. :D

I have no problem admitting something if I am wrong, but my only take on Artest was that he and Tmac did not fit.

And since Ron was an expiring contract, the team should look to upgrade a position of need, because he could walk for nothing, and it would have cost the team 2 first round draft picks, and gotten nothing in return.

It was purely as asset management discussion.

And the team upgraded the PG position by trading Rafer (I know, I am still giddy)

That trade and when Tmac went out, it changed the entire complexion of the situation, and thus required a completely different look at it. At that point, why not keep Artest (unless you could get something really valuable) and roll the dice on this season with him, as he fits very well with a Yao Ming centric team.

Once the context of the situation changed, the analysis has to adapt.

I just get tired of people not understanding that, and thinking they have a gotcha moment, when none exists.

I have plenty of cases of gotchas...Dan Langhi comes to mind, but this is not one of them.

Clearly you have a good eye for intelligence.

    :D

I think they have different strengths. T-Mac (a healthy one...in mind and body) is much better at creating for his teammates, and is a better closer than Ron. However, Ron can get to the line even when he is shooting like garbage, and that's major too.

Ron is a much better defender and it's an obvious difference to watch teams struggle to score on Ron and Battier all game long. Those guys can switch on almost everything...so it's no wonder our defense is better now.

Ron just seems to have "it" though. He is a gritty player and at least I know the effort will always be there. It's not suprising that we have become a hard knosed, gritty team this year. And is it just me, or does Ron seem to do more on the court coaching then any Rocket player I have seen in a while?

so are you saying our defense has been average since tracy has been here? it has sucked so bad that we've been known as a one-sided team?

    seriously

again DD, you're talking about this year. and like i said, a TON of players are better than tracy this year. saying ron is not surprising. hell, probably 80% of the L has had a better season than tracy this year.

my problem is they're talking tracy of the past years when he did play most games, made all-nba... that's just straight up absurd.

and it has affected our defense how in the past?
