Rudy Fernandez sustained a soft tissue injury to his right upper chest and side area in the third quarter of Monday night's game vs. the LA Lakers. X-Rays and CT scan were both negative. Fernandez will be kept overnight at an area hospital for observation. He is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Dallas. http://trailblazerscentercourt.blogspot.com/2009/03/rudy-fernandez-update.html
glad it's not worse... if it happened to Ron Artest, he will never allow the team to admit that Artest has any soft issues.
I think the situation was overdramatized because Rudy just laid there. Seems like it was just some sort of pull or sprain.
I thought he could've broken a rib or two. Good thing he doesn't weigh that much. I'm just glad he didn't land on his neck or something which could've easily happened when you're in the air like that with no control. ala TJ Ford.
i dunno, he landed terribly, the foul itself didn't seem THAT bad to me, it was the fact that he lost his balance cuz he was in the air and he landed on his side, it knocked the wind out of him, you could tell he was like "where the f am i?"
LOL. Damn Euroflop to the extreme. "ZOMG, he's on a stretcher! PRAY FOR HIM PRAY FOR HIM!" ..... "A bruise? WTF?"
LOL, I love that in soccer games when the guy gets hurt and rolls around on the ground like he broke his leg. So the medical staff runs out with the stretcher, and he lies on it with one hand on his forehead, and the other one draping off to the side, like he's dying or something. Then they get to the sidelines, treat him for like 30 seconds, and he's back on his feet, warming up....perfectly fine to go back in. The best part is that nobody even questions it....not the fans, not the commentators, not the opposing team. Flopping is just as much a part of that game as the chanting and singing.
