He didnt go for his head...he went for the ball, although, he did swing hard. His elbow hit Fernandez. And honestly, Fernandez made that out to be a lot worse than it was. Wait and see how long he's out. If it was that bad, he should be out a few weeks.

Just saw the play. I don't think it was intentional. He was going for where he thought the ball was going to be, but ended up elbowing Fernandez in the head.

Personally, I don't think he should be suspended, but that's just me.

As much as I want this to happen, it would be nice to beat a full Lakers team (without Bynum)..

mailman had that in his mind all the time though. the biggest d-bag ever.

I will take any win the team can get, we need em all at this point. We are missing Tmac, I have no sympathy for other teams....any advantage that benefits the Rockets is ok by me.

It was definitely a hard, uncalled for, intentional, frustration foul in my opinion. I don't think there is question whether or not a suspension is warranted. It was completely upsportsmanlike and there is absolutely no room for it in professional basketball. Leave it on the streets.

he fell on his hip and elbow. They are probably cautious about spine dmg.

    who cares?

you think any team cares when we have injuries?

injuries/absences are part of the game.

Ariza made a play on the ball. It was a hard foul but I don't understand the flagrant 2/suspension.

    I disagree with that completely.

The way I see it, Ariza underrated Rudy's athleticism. Trevor came in expecting to slap at the ball but Rudy is a great jumper, so he ended up going higher than Ariza thought he would. That's when his elbow hit Rudy in the head.

Rudy went flying because Ariza came in so fast, and he ended up landing awkwardly.

It was a hard foul and was a little uncalled for, but I definitely don't see it as intentional.

You can't argue he shouldn't be suspended. Going for the ball or not its just plain dangerous so I hope the NBA does issue a suspension(not just because we are playing them). If the player is ahead like that then I think you admit you are beat and unless u stop him before he jumps you shouldn't make a play. I had a friend playing college balls who was out for 6 months because a dirty player took him out while he was going for the dunk... it flipped him over and he landed on his head.

On a side not did anyone notice I think it was Farmar was the only guy to actually straight away worry about Rudy... all the rest were too busy trying to get into each other. At least someone in the Lakers has some class.
