We deserved to lose this game...but we also deserved to win it because we never stopped competing on the defensive end and being physical. So I really can't say it was the worst win of the year. One of the signs of a good team is when they can pull out wins they shouldn't....and I like their decisions on both ends down the stretch. I don't know WTF Yao was thinking though. Look Yao....listen up....I know you probably see the Hakeem highlights pre game or in the arena somewhere, but centers aren't supposed to try and rip PG's. I know he could do it....but that was an anamoly.
God bless Chuck Hayes. Every time you think that maybe the Rockets could save $$$ by trading him as part of a package deal to bring in another dynamic player, you're reminded of all the intangibles he brings.
Horrible 4th quarter like always giving up such a big lead and our free throws were extremely poor but it was a back to back game and we will take this WIN!!!
It was far from perfect ... it makes the win that much sweeter. Everyone had more good moments than they had bad.
A relatively quiet game from Yao, one of Scola's worst performances of the year, our worst free-throw performance of the year, on the road, and on the second night of a back to back... I'll take this win any day of the week! There were stretches in this game where we looked unstoppable, I hope we can tap into that on this last part of the season and play like this during the playoffs. This team has a LOT of potential...
Bull$#iT! This was a GREAT win! An absolute GREAT win. I don't care if they missed 1000 free throws - they won the game. If you block a shot by a finger is it still a block or do you criticize the guy for being late on his rotation and not blocking it fully with the palm? A bunch of young kids hanging on for their life...WOW! And some people here kill 'em and call it hollow because they had a B2B in Mile High and WON but not pretty enough? This win was a FABULOUS WIN! The guys in locker room are laughing! It was a great win - period. Find fault with Yao when he drops 28 & 15 & 6 & 3 on some suckers dumba$$ not when he makes a stupid mistake in a game - that's too easy. Man up...
I disagree. We played pretty well tonight but just missed a ton of free throws. We are generally a good FT shooting team so I'm not that worried. I also like that Shane got to hit a big shot at the end of the game. It could turn his offense around.
well, I'll take any win on the road, esp one against a legit playoff team like the Nuggs. Yao got some rest, hes saving up for the lakers game
when we are able to keep the lead we build, we can be a real title contender. whenever the oppoent makes some changes, it seems that we don't know how to respond and our lead got eaten up. we should have won easily tonight. but anyway, an ugly win is still a win. KEEP GOING!
Great win! At the end - no matter what - the better team won. Consider that this was a back to back and the nth game in as many days it was a great effort.
