Has anyone else heard or used this site? www.restaurant.com I had a buddy come in from Atlanta last weekend and he swears by it. Basically the site is about buying gift certificates from them for a discounted price. For example: a $25 cert. for $10. a $10 cert. for $3. a $100 cert. for $40 Then that amount goes to your check at the end. Now, apparently, these are only good for the month that they are purchased, so the later in the month you buy them, the better deal you will get. He said he was getting $25 certs. at the end of Feb. for 3-5 bucks. Anyway, I found it interesting and think I might try it out this evening. Anyone else used this?

I liked it but more and more restaurants are getting more expensive with their deals. The $25 gift certificates I used to buy for Short Smalls were good with a $35 purchase, now it is a $60 purchase. I don't use it anymore but I have a limited selection on there anyway.
It's very good especially when there are coupon codes for an extra 75% off. They are usually on Slickdeals.
i used this a couple of times...if you've ever heard of slickdeals.net, they have codes for 70-80% off restaurant.com that come by ever couple weeks, so you can get $25 gift certificates for like 2 or 3 bucks each. There are only a couple good places to go on the list in Houston. I personally used ones for Oporto and for that tapas place in Rice which I forgot the name to.
Mi Luna. I have a few for there, $25 off $35 purchase. It's been less than a year since I bought them, so they should still be good, but during the last sale, I noticed that they were for $25 off $45 purchase. I hope they will still honor mine, because if not, I wouldn't have bought them!
I got a $25 coupon for $10 (restaurant.com regular deal), which into a $5 purchase with the 50% coupon (dealnews.com). 80% off coupon would have dropped the price to $2. That is certainly a better deal. It is just that I am hungry now and not that greedy
Hey, I'm just all about making a good deal even sweeter! But if you're hungry now, no sense in waiting.
Well, speak of the devil. Got an e-mail this morning. 80% off sale starts now through Sunday, March 15, 2009! The code is MENU. $25 gift certificates are $2.00. Enjoy.
