What's the big deal with the male nudity? Seriously, I wish people would get over it. It's okay to flash t*** and vag, but god forbid a penis.
well let's see here! I'm straight, so naturally I'm going to have a problem seeing naked guys. common sense isn't your strong suit is it? anyway, I didn't have a problem with it altogether. I understood the reasoning for manhattan being naked (further example of his detachment from humanity). it was more about the amount rather than anything else. there was just a freaking TON of male nudity -- way more than any women.
This movie had to have been one of the worst I have ever seen. Just garbage.. I can not believe that a studio would allow this movie to be released in the way it was. It did not flow at all and it was so so long... It was like please end already... Do not waste your money based on the hype... What an utter let down..
I wish there was less male nudity solely for the fact that every immature idiot in my theater started laughing every time Dr. Manhattan's nuclear dong showed up. Aside from that, I see mine all the time. Why should I care about a blue CGI penis?
yeah, that was the other thing. it wasn't women either. there was hardly anyone in our theater (especially for a friday night / opening night of a big release), and every time he would show up you would hear some random douchebag giggling like a little girl. "OH MY GOD LOOK! TEEHEE!!!".
I thought it was pretty good. I havent read the GN either. I thought the music was pretty good, especially Bob Dylan during the opening.
All of the parts of the movie were great. There were some great little details, lines, characters etc. As a whole, though the movie just fell a little short. Too long, and some sotry editing were needed. They could have compacted bits and pieces of the back story for each of the characters. Other parts of the movie could have flowed faster. I didn't read the GN, so that might have something to do with my opinion.
do you seriously have to end every r****ded statement you make with "Boom!"? does that somehow make you hip or witty?
I thought the movie was very good. I haven't read the novel, and I felt it was pretty easy to follow the movie. Not confusing at all. From the trailers I expected to go in and put my brain aside and see a nice action movie. It turned out to be much more than that with excellent character development and a great unique story that wasn't cliche at all.
he does it on every single post, and typically his posts say nothing of any sort of consequence. it's incredibly stupid.
Well, let's see. I'm straight, and more often than not, if there is nudity (or recurring nudity) in a film for prolonged periods of time, it's female nudity. I'm a female. I'm a grown adult. Who cares? I can count on one hand how many times I've seen male genitalia in a movie in my entire life, and on such a rare occasion, it's usually for a grand total of like, five seconds. Anyway, all that aside, I thought the movie was fantastic. My only minor complaint would be that the music was a bit distracting at times. I can't wait to watch it again (and no, not for the blue dick).
I didn't say I had a problem with the male nudity, I said I had a problem with the AMOUNT. manhattan's nudity was for the most part tasteful so I didn't have a problem with it. there was just a lot of it. I would have had just as much of a problem if it was a woman. the sex scene for example was wayyyy too long.
don't get me wrong here, I love the feminine form. I just didn't enjoy feeling like I was watching p*rn clips. if I wanted that, I have the internet~
I don't get the male nudity gripes. It was simply there, whatever, thats how it is. Its part of the character. I actually had more of a problem with the unnecessarily long sex scene on the ship, it just went on too long for no damn reason.
