'win the game' is the absolute principle. no matter who, no matter position, no matter soft, no matter aggressive.
save energy and play more time.

he's had a fabulous games against the Cavs and Celtics, best defenses in the league.

If he was that soft, he would have been shut out in all four contests.

    i LOVE him to death.

    But yes.
    He is soft.
Its a mindset and you see it in Chinese ball. Its a passive, non-egocentric mindset in their game. Very self-effacing.

Ive always said that if the Rox could have yao over HERE in the states to work with him for one full off-season, you'd see a huge change in his game.

All due to the Memphis team started another run on the floor, coach Rick doesn't wanna take the call for the loss,so he just put Yao back into the game to seal the deal.

But it could be fatal mistakes if Yao was abused and when he's whacked-out,he's useless on the court, doing his field-track practice with a bunch of athletic players.Running and gunning is not an option for us when Yao back in the game. When we have enough fire power to put away the opponents, why bother not to rest Yao on the bench for full preparation for the next game?

This was the longest, and probably the best Yao highlight mix I've ever seen. I like how it actually showed the moves Yao performed to make those shots and dunks. Way too many Yao mixes just show the ball going in after Yao already made his move, and look boring because of that. This video also showed the variety of Yao's offensive repertoire. That kept things exciting, and was far better than just showing all dunks and all blocks. Finally, excellent musical choices. I can't stand Yao highlights set to soft music.

Oh man. I get sick of these wannabes, typical internet badass geeks who sit on their obese asses in front of their computer 24/7 and call people soft.

Yao puts himself through hell and beyond to stay in the shape he needs to be inorder to compete with much smaller and faster guys. He's played with a broken toenail thats imbeded so deep into his flesh that his socks would be drenched in his blood. He puts up with the most physical defense of being manhandled everytime he posts down low. He has not taken a holiday for god knows how long just so he can help both his country and his club. He's made termendous personal sacrifices without a complaint. He's nullified your so called glorified tough guys like Shaq, Amare and Dwight; infact he's pretty much owned them head to head. He's never backed down from the challenged and always risen to the occasion.

Just so he doesnt dunk as often as you like he is a softie? Just because he acts civilised, he is a softie?

Give me your definition of soft. And tell me how that makes Yao a better player than he already is? and dont bring up the same immature responses like he doesn't dunk enough or he doesn't get T enough. or man up and admit you hate his guts and gtfo cause noone gives a rats ass.

I get the feeling most of you live an imaginary life. If you cant back up your own words, dont spew them out in the first place.

Great job on the video, thanks. Yao has all the tools and the talent but he has to win a ring to shut his critics off.

I think Yao was not doubled or trippled that often in those days, so he had more room to spin and go to the basket.

the best video highlights of of yao, though a bit long. must be fairly recent, since there are some latest games in it.

i knew yao's not soft. but anyone looks better in a video highlights. i just hope come playoff time, he can take it up a notch and play like that all the time.

Anyone who can effectively guard Shaq one-on-one is not soft. Period.

Because the NBA refs are standing by ready to pounce all over him with a bunch of BS calls the minute Yao tries to play with more aggressiveness. Which is why he isn't nearly as aggressive as he could be.

Funny, I never thought Yao was soft, but I get why people call him soft. Times when he tries to draw charges, then I can see it. But ive sat courtside before and the beating he takes is amazing. He never complains and it just makes me have even more respect for the guy.

    AWSOME VIDEO!
