Man I really miss Tracy's settling for long jumpers in crunch time. Watching dudes go at the basket down the stretch may be more effective, but it's not quite as pretty.
Link-->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sxa0mLPRhk&feature=related If you ever watched this video mainly at the 3:45 mark where John Weisbrod discusses the trade of T-Mac in 2004, I think that it would only help you to not miss him. Keep in mind that throughout this season since first seeing this video, I've been thinking about it all the time as how John Weisbrod's comments on T-mac apply to him today.
Not really right now, but I will at the playoff. We need the player that can be on fire in playoff season
Don't worry, it will be better this way. If we had Tmac i'm pretty sure he would have taken that last shot...and i'm pretty sure it would have been a Iso and a jacked up bricked 3 pointer.
Weisbrod mentions that Tracy doesnt make his teammates better or that he is selfish? That is a ridiculous statement, or it is right now in his career. Mcgrady is money to find the open man with the ball in his hand, and there is no denying that.
When and if Tracy McGrady rejoins the Rockets, possibly next season, he will have to be a NEW Tracy, at least his game will need to be NEW as his old game would not fit into the way we play now. Tracy would have to become more of a Spot up Shooter, taking only high percentage shots. Only at a last resort would he create for himself. Tracy would never be the playmaker like he was with Alston. As it is his Contract season, I expect he will comply and go with us to the championship. However he should not expect anything like the sort of contract that he has now.
McGrady is done, he was injured with his back before now his knee, his career is slowing going towards the Francis-ish end. We just have to hope we can get something for him next year, and if not turn in that 23 million or so of cap into a legitimate SG.
Of course. Anyone who doesn't miss watching a healthy McGrady doesn't like basketball or is a Utah Jazz fan. T-mac when he was playing for the Rockets in his first season with us was just so fun to watch. Dunks and a high fg%, what more do you want?
I agree with that. But what is funny, he really was a good sopt up shooter this season. He was making his 3s. The problem is, it was the ONLY thing he could do.
Dont really know why people would put No for the answer... A healthy Tracys is amazing. But, hes not, and probably wont ever be again. Next queston.
thanks for best 6 and a half minutes of me watching t-mac in my entire life.. i miss McGrady but i miss the McGrady i grew up watching. The 13 pts 35 secs, and 2002 to 2006.....but right now we need to be focused on staying in the run for the playoffs, we can worry about him in the offseason >.<
I reached the point going into the start of last year where I was over Tmac. I don't miss him one bit. It was all promises and B.S. anyway because when it comes to the games that count, he never led this team. Scoring 40 points in the regular season, wonderful. How about getting out of the first round! I have put him in the same league as Quitten now. At least Quitten didn't pretend to be anything other than a self important, over rated a$$. TMac pretends he is a good guy.....and what he did leading into the trade deadline....disgusting!
T-Mac is one of my favorite players of all time. I really do miss him tremendously. Notwithstanding, I sincerely hope that the 2008-09 Rockets win the championship and Tracy becomes a viable contributor for a back-to-back championship run. Go Houston!!!!
You call 43.1% FG high? It's below his own career FG%. Look at all the elite players, tmac got the worst of them all FG% wise.
We'll trade T-Slack for a bag of chips if we win the title this season. a bag of chips >>>>>> a cancer
