not sure what video you were trying to reference. Batkins' original video is still up and running on youtube from his original post.

clearly i dont think the league cared at all otherwise it would have probably been removed by now, no one is talking about it all.

    sucks for yao

My biggest problem with the way he is officiated is that it is directly in relation to his agression. Everyone gets on Yao's case for not being physical and not using his size to dominate, but the second he does the refs whislte him for things that everyone gets away with.

Moreover, in the case of the Brewer foul the other night. Since when do the refs call such ticky tack stuff in the closing minutes of the game usually the stand back and let the players decide the game. If Ronnie Brewer is standing in the paint with Yao it stands to reason he should get knocked over. That's how he plays to his streghths, but you take that away from him what else can he do but shoot over the guy?

I really thought we would reach the point somewhere about his 5th all star appearance where he would start getting a more favorable whistle, it is absolutely infuriating that he still doesn't get any respect from the refs.

He doesn't even get away with putting his shoulder into people if he elbowed soemone he's gonna get ejected. We're pretty far from the power game of Malone, Cartwright, Barkley, Olajuwon, Oakley. Playing that way in the post right now is being phased out.

Thanks, all these issues become especially glaring when we play Utah. My blood is still angered up from Wednesday.

The victim(Yao) will probably get punished for finally speaking the truth...and the crimes(flopping&bad officiating against Yao) and the criminals(most referees) will go unpunished or this will not be addressed.

However, if he doesn't get fined, I think that action shows that the NBA brass can't morally bring themselves to the place where they could add insult to injury by fining Yao. I mean Yao is like the classiest guy, and for years he gets abused without complaining, and now he finally speaks up. Way to go Yao.

Yao should just do what Malone and Barkley did back in the day. Swing elbows on rebounds, and be ready to do flying kicks and elbows while shooting on players that don't get the message.

Make a player black and blue all over the arms, and maybe missing a tooth and you got a player that will be scared as hell to flop ever again.

well if refs call flopping then yao should flop!!!

    Okur posting on yao

Yao jump backwards and land on ass out of nowhere!!

    Refs call charging!!!

I think the whole Utah team went to hollywood and got a lesson on flopping.

not sure if this has been brought up. thought it was a bit amusing.

jonathan feigen reports (before the phoenix game).

The NBA took no action on comments made by Rick Adelman and Yao Ming about the officiating Wednesday in Utah, but Adelman did not consider that a tacit approval as much as perhaps league officials just didn’t notice.

"They’ve got no respect for us," Adelman joked. "Obviously they’re overlooking us because we’re not important enough. I didn’t really want to get fined.

"He (Yao) has had two, or three or four fouls you could say the flopping was there. The kid in Minnesota (Kevin Love) he even yelled before Yao touched him. He yelled and went down. I think Yao gets really frustrated. He gets charges called on him and stuff happens and they never talk about what happens before he gets the ball."

Here is the NBA's response to my e-mail about officiating. I'm sure they didn't even read my complaint since they don't care about fans nor do they care about the quality of officiating.

Ow, now that they mention it, the NBA indeed has great officials and never make a bad call

Haha this line really had me cracking up:

They are the most measured and metricized group of employees in the world.

    Truly an American answer ;)

lol...no way they read the letters. Imagine the amount of letters they receive. JVG should speak out again and since he's not in the league, can they fine him? lol

What he needs to do is to practice elbow skill and crack a few jaws. Even better, go for the throats. Once he puts a few guys out of the season, these thugs will learn not to get any where close to his elbows.

lol, looks like even their standard response has not changed a bit. i remember sending an e-mail protesting a call involving mailman back then, and i got the same thing. probably computer-generated.
