3 games today for western conference playoff watch

I think OKC might be able to steal one but it would be too hard for them when the Hornets are playing on their home floor.
    Anyways, GO Thunder!

Washington and Dallas is a skeptical game... We don't know which Dallas will show up, I think Washington may have a chance.
    Go Wizards!

Minnesota and Portland where Portland is home.. very tough one for the T'Wolves to win, they have lost 7 straight games overall right now.. I don't know though, crazier things have happened. Go T'Wolves!

If the home teams were reversed, there could be a chance of an upset or two. Doesn't look good for the Rockets, but you never know.

Home teams will win. Put it in the bank.

Thunder is the only team that has a chance of winning. If Big Al was playing, T'Wolves would have a hell of a chance though.

I was looking at today's schedule last night. I didn't see much help coming with all 3 relevant teams playing at home against scrubs.

I'd be ecstatic if just one game benefits us.

According to Hollinger's formula, the Rockets have had the weakest SOS in the entire league this season (tied with the Thunder).

We've also had the 2nd weakest SOS over the Last 10 or Last 25% of games. I can't tell which because the column header changes when you sort.

About a month ago, jsmee pointed out that the Rockets had just about the most brutal scheduling up to that point in terms of b2bs, 4 games in 5 nights, etc... even if the opponents were relatively weak. I don't know how much that has changed over the last few weeks.

Regardless, we have a tough schedule down the stretch.

Talk about an efficient night of shooting for DJ Augustin. He scored 13 points with 1 FGA.

Well, it's down to the T-Pups pulling off a miracle in Portland if we want help tonight.

Athleticism thats all, can't shoot, can't dribble, can't pass (the three most offensive skills needed) but yes he did make a spectacular defensive play.

He's not scary at all. Needs to develop some skills. The fact he gets so little playing time on a team with a weak bench tells the story. It's tiresome to hear announcers always say how much potential he has.

Man they all going to win tonight. :(

We better take out the Grizzlies tomorrow, we struggle with them due to Marc Gasol. Who is nothing like his brother, he's actually aggressive and physical.

I would love to see Lowry outplay Conley tomorrow and if not tomorrow, sometime in the near future.

He was already doing it in Memphis but it will really burn if he does it against Memphis.

he actually can do all those things.. he just doesnt get the playing time to prove it.. and to the other guy who said he is sad because he doesnt get playing time on a weak bench, well if you noticed, byron scott doesnt like to play his rookies much or else J.R SMITH and BRANDON BASS would have been there still playing for the hornets... and even if he couldnt do all those things.. maybe just being athletic is all he needs running onside a future hall of famer in chris paul.. just be athletic and ready to catch the ball

I'll grant you that Byron Scott could be a wild card here. I don't respect him that much as a coach. But when I watch Julian Wright play, he rarely does anything skillful that makes me think his upside is high. Even in limited minutes, you can get a feel for the tools players have just by observing how they handle themselves on the floor. The only tool I can see is the guy can jump like he's on a trampoline.

    A_3P0,

I know you're not a big fan of Outlaw but I'd love to have that guy on the Rockets, at the least coming off the bench. With his length and athleticism, he can get up a shot almost at will and it seems like he's improved as a shooter. It also seems like he could be an elite defender due to those same physical attributes. Whatever his weaknesses are, I wouldn't mind seeing him try to work past them in Houston or minimize the impact of those weaknesses by playing him in the right role.
