exactly, and with Shame battier's invisible offensive production & yao no points in the 4th, we really needed brooks scoring to night

Brooks did have quite a few "hockey" assists last night where he swung the ball to a guy who made the extra pass for the open shot. That happens with good, team ball, I'm told.

His D is still lacking, but he'll pick it up. Fighting around a Shaq pick to get to Nash isn't exactly the easiest assignment in the world, especially with Yao on the other half of that defensive combo. Teams pull Yao out on high PnRs all the time for a reason. They both need to get better at it.

    Exaggerate much?

Not only is CP3 light years better then AB will ever be, he is numero uno in the Hornets offense, unlike AB also.

We need to knock it off with comparing AB to other small PGs who happen to be all world players.

Question for the "stats is overrated" crowd, if AB passes up an open 3 to drive in only to turn the ball over and the other team scores 2 points directly from the turnover, does that turnover reflect the potential 5 point swing?

even though paul is the beast among beast, saying that he is light years beyond what aaron would ever be isn't as true as you think...Aaron potential is scary with alot of "If's"..I am not saying he would be better than paul or anything, but saying this kid can't be very good is crazy. Now if you said alston, then I would have agreed

I didn't say AB "can't be very good".

What I said is the gap between AB0 and CP3 is light years. AB will never have the passing ability nor the passing vision that CP3 has. Not too many guards have that so it's no shame for AB. Plus there is the decision making which CP3 has the keenest sense of what to do in what situations.

There's a reason why CP3 was picked #4 overall in his draft and AB picked 26th in his draft. They were scouted thoroughly. (Please do not use Tony Parker as an example cause he wasn't heavily scouted being an unknown back then.)

Jeez, all the guy did was win the game last night. Brooks was exploiting Nash's "defense" like you'd hope and people are complaining that he didn't get enough assists! There were a million times when Yao called the plays last night and explicitly told both Brooks and Lowry what to do, so to pretend that these young players are looking to "get mine" is ridiculous. Yao wasn't having a great night and Brooks had a lane all night, it played out exactly as it should have. I was screaming for him to cover Nash all night, but Nash was unconcious for a while, and Battier couldn't stop him either. Brooks works on defense, which is all you can ask when he's guarding a superstar.

Somebody's got to be able to drive the lane and create when the defense is giving us a lane; TMac is gone, so if Brooks can do it when it's required, great. Especially since he's this no name the opposing team isn't expecting to take the final shot. Brooks showed he was nails last night and we want Rafer back. When did Rafer Alston ever win the Rockets a game?

The more confident he gets we should start seeing that Oregon Aaron Brooks and we'll be better for it.
