    1) I don't mind that Brooks got more TO's than assists this game as long as we win, and he was obviously a big part of our victory

    2) In other games when his shot isn't falling he is basically useless to the team and Lowry should be getting more minutes

    3) I give Brooks a pass for letting Nash get 32/13 because frankly Nash was playing out of his mind, and let's not forget that this game was huge for Phoenix. They already lost 2 in a row and now they are a full 3 games back of the Mavs and outside of the playoffs bracket

They are not better without Amare.

But he's right in terms of they are better right now then they were the 1st time we played them because of the style.

Even though they were hot at the time that we beat them so I still don't see why people bash T-mac and Rafer. I don't see why people can't just celebrate the victory and move on.

I posted in the game thread that Brooks would have a huge game. Rafer had 28 points vs Nash recently, there is no reason for Brooks to not have a big night. Brooks is a great scorer when the team does not have much defensive efforts.

Brooks had 30 points but his field goal percentage was over 50% as well as his 3 point percentage. He had 4 turnovers but Pheonix as a team had 5 more turnovers than we had as a team. Brooks balled and is more of a threat at point guard than Rafer will ever be.

ever since he got the starting pg spot he has been shooting pretty bad but finally he gets a very nice shooting night and a clutch lay-up to win the game.

yes brooks had a lot of shots but if they are productive then why not? what did yall want battier to take more shots?

the one thing that he has to work on though is his assist he keeps getting 3ast or so every game which is not that great for a starting pg. but i see a lot of games where he makes the assist to some one, and they just pass it to someone else and they get the assist lol.

its going to take time but i really think that brooks could develop into a 20ppg 10apg point guard. brooks still has a lot of potential.

problems ahead. brooks scoring 30 means better shooters not shooting.

also he seemed to be in a contest with nash. back and forth. like he was taking it personal.

nash don't play no d anymore. another pg will get in brooks head and make him pay in that situation.

he needs to be more controlled in the future. but fantastic vs. the suns. it worked

Brooks scoring 30 points and winning the game for the Rockets is bad news for the future of the Rockets. Yao might get his feelings hurt and refuse to post up. Artest probably won't resign. Battier will stop playing D.

They are GROWN men and they definitely wouldn't take this to personal. No one cares whoever scores highest, even though that's Chuck Hayes, as long as we win.

I am seeing a 2nd version AI, yes he can score, but he is not a good PG, when he is young it's fine because he can outscore his opponent , but as he ages, he will become a cancer just like AI right now.
And the premise is he is as good as AI, athletically.

Question for all the "boxscore" people .... Suppose AB breaks the defense down off the dribble forcing another defender to come to him (say Battier's). If AB passes to Battier force Ron's man to come to him and Battier passes to Ron who drains the open 3, who gets credit for the assist? Does AB's contribution show up anywhere in the boxscore? Does that help you guys understand why assists don't always tell you about great playmaking?

I dont think Adelman is asking brooks to do anything he's not comfortable doing. He's a scorer first. That's not going to change. He will learn how to run an offense in time, but for those expecting him to turn in to a pass first PG, prepare to be disapointed. The guy is a scorer, a pretty good one at that. I don't find anything wrong with it.

Its simple, if Brooks is struggling, bring in Lowry. If he plays like he did last night then you give him the majority of the minutes. Its not very hard. Brooks is a better scorer than Lowry, and we will need that scoring punch more often than not.

Listen to all the gripes about Brooks. The guy is only a second year player who played a great game. Give him time to develop he's got the skills to be another Chris Paul.

I actually understand why some people on the board can't be patient with brooks, because they are so use to rafer taking us to the WCF & Nba finals with double doubles in points & assist every game for the last 4years
