Moses, Olajuwon and now yao. Gifted centers who teaches the next generation of big man. In 1-2 years time rox will get another center to replace yao. Maybe a european this time?

The top (non player) Rockets contributor has to be Ray Patterson. It's a shame there isn't more written on him.

You know your Rockets! Couldn't have said it any better myself except for maybe Elie above Barkley since he did make the "kiss of death" and Barkely didn't do crap except score lots of points and grab lots of rebounds (for a team that lost to the friggin' Jazz). I'd also include Thorpe in the top 10 as he was a major factor in our first Championship (don't know why so many people forget him).

yeah i saw it. the dude's moniker has the word 'noob' in it.
Yao is on my list, not because he's Chinese.

to the noob, I don't know maybe NASA did something more significant for the city of Houston besides getting out rebounded by Carlos Boozer.

I even think the Chinese people know about that before Yao was born.

OT was a classic powerforward and was the first in the building block of the championship. Someone who Dream could trust and help out in the paint.
A guy who can play D, set screens, and dunk the ball without trying to do some reverse jam when he has a bad knee against the bucks.

    1. Dream - player (championchip)
    2. Rudy-T - coach (championchip)
    3. Moses - player (great player)
    4. Calvin - player (great player...not so good in the booth...too many outrageous ideas for me)
    5. Jim - broadcast (longtime commentator)
    6. Gean - broadcast (see #5)
    7. Yao - player (revenue source and hopefully career rocket)
    8. Sampson - player (great player)
    9. Maxwell - player (94 finals)
    10. Worrell - broadcast (see #6)

I do have a question for Hayesfan. Why is this 1560 approved?

Why does Barkley gets mentioned in so many posts? If he was as professional as Thorpe, he would have accomplished more than "getting past the Sonics".

I'm sorry, but, Barkley didn't contribute squat to the Rockets. IF anything, he helped dismantle the Rockets.
