I like Odom because he can play point-forward - there's not enough passing in our offense, something that's necessary against zones.

Dunleavy could also play point forward. He was a point guard in high school. I also think Dunleavy has a better shot than Odom. I want Mike. But Odom would be good too.

I voted for MD Jr but would have no problem with Odom.

Especially since obtaining Odom would probably involve a pick swap with the Clipps and almost guaranteeing that one of the following would also be a Rocket - Borchardt, Marcus, Stoudamire, Ely, Hilario or Tskitishvili.

Woods or Dunleavy, Dunleavy or Woods ...whoever is there when we pick, assuming we pick #5 - #8. If we are picking #1 - #3, the choices get harder with the exception of Ming at #1 (and that's assuming he is the real deal during summer workouts). Dunleavy is the safer choice, and Woods has the greater chance for superstardom or bust.

It's hard waiting until next Sunday to have worthwhile discussions about draft strategy, but we must. Of course, it's always fun to play "what if."

Is the lottery really next sunday? May 19??? I'll vote for Caron Butler because nobody else has. It's a hard choice because it depends on so much circumstance. I don't see Big Dog or Wally Z. with us next year. Glenn will probably have his chance to play if he can. Doubt if Nicko is ready to start. Is the question, "who should be our starting small forward next year." Because, chances are we'll have Rice AND one of the other players listed.

No. The order of the lottery shall be revealed next Sunday so we can really start jawing about trading up, trading down, who to draft, which veteran we should acquire and at what cost(s).

What does this team need more than anything??? Even more than passing???

    DEFENSE!!!

Thats why we need Caron Butler, best defender in the bunch.

And its not like he has no offense. He is a perfect compliment to this team.
