Apparently we have to wait till 2019. <object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nq3EeZz-W3A&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nq3EeZz-W3A&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>
I already bought the PS9 preorder from my friend at Circuit City around the time the PS2 came out. I hope he can give me another great deal with this future release.
That looks pretty cool. I can definitely see a lot of that stuff happening - especially the ePaper stuff. How well they integrate is another matter.
If everything is going to be a computer screen, from newspapers to coffee cups, then we're all going to be wearing pretty thick glasses.
Very, very cool looking stuff, but what is the point of all that? Neat animations? Did they just watch "Minority Report?" I guess I have no idea the context this was meant for, aside from the title, so I'm just unsure as to it's purpose. 2019? Seriously, 2019 for what? Are they promoting some coming product(s) technology, or just trying to "Jules Verne" their way into a test market audience for things they have no idea how they will create, much less implement, yet? I'm still waiting for their super interface tables to be "in every restaurant" and whatever else. Can't hold my breath for the "interactive" newspaper. Neat, but... uhhhh yeah.
I feel mostly the same way. Are all of these interfaces using some decedent of WPF? Does that mean future Microsoft will be able to solve the problem of poor adoption of technologies post Windows Forms?
damn that ps9 commercial back in the day was freakin awesome somehow i doubt this will be a reality in 2019 though 1999 ------> 2009 2009 -------------------> 2019 ya rite
I don't know if any of the "invention" in the video will come true in 2019, but there's one thing in the video for sure, that is, the Victoria Harbour will become Victoria River as shown at the end of the video. Due to massive reclamation.
Too fluffy. Some of those things will happen, some won't. Notice how you never saw a keyboard? Some things in computers are universal and timeless. We'll always have applications, files and directories. And we'll always have keyboards. Another thing: notice how every interface was different? How's that supposed to happen? Nah.
Oh ye of little faith. Keyboards need to go the way of the dodo - the mouse is probably more necessary in the near future than the keyboard.
myopia is a result of nearwork and eye strain, reading a book causes myopia, it is true that screens cause more eye strain but I have no doubt that screen technology will improve and that strain will be avoided. Genetics also play a important role.
