this is probably the biggest game of the season so far. i would actually want to see kyle lowry play more minutes than aaron brooks because he's a bigger and better defender, going against deron williams one of the bigger and stronger point guards in the league. scola and landry are going to need to stop boozer and kirilenko. artest can stop milsap i think. only problem i have really is yao vs. okur. okur can hit the 3 point shot and make yao have to step out the paint ( thats mainly where yao sucks at the most). artest is going to be the go to guy in this game(he's been hitting shots like crazy now) and i wanna see one of the point guards perform great, but solid defense is the key to this game cause utah is very damn good at home. i see a really close game all the way but i see the jazz pulling out a win in this one 95-89.
I'm kinda hoping that brooks creates the mismatch. he's to quick for Dwill, if Brooks is aggresive he could be the difference maker!
I'm sure they'll let Yao guard boozer, to keep Okur from shooting uncontested three's. Ah..the good ol days when Chuck would come in drive Boozer crazy.
Okur can be streaky, so hopefully it will be an off day. Yao on Boozer, and Brooks, Lowry, and Wafer attacking the basket. Put those fools in foul trouble early and make them play their bench. Brooks can make or break this game.
You are absolutely right. Jazz takes a few advantages on this game. We all know that. From the side of Jazz's point of view, it's unbearable to lose this one. Yao is not good at back to back at all and it's his limitation. But the key to the success would be 1. how well Yao could handle himself on the court tomorrow. 2. how the coach will rotate the players and how much effort we could deliever at the defensive end. I hope the Rockets will win this one but I dont seem likely to be mad if we lose
one big reason we looked so bad in the utah series was jvg's stubbornness. now with adelman, that factor is gone. if we can survive the bigs of the raptors tonight, there's nothing to be feared of on that jazz team. and weren't people saying that yao for some reason plays better on the back end of a b2b? i'm not worried. 105-97 rockets.
If we beat the Jazz tomorrow I plan to infiltrate one of their fan forums to pour the salt in the wounds. I've read some of their comments and they are really arrogant and disillusioned. Their style of play(blatant flopping, illegal pushing and pulling, whining and crying about "missed" calls that wasn't a foul in the first place) is a disgrace to basketball everywhere and anywhere it is played.
Seriously, these are the fans still complaining about Jordan pushing off. They always claim that the NBA is out to get them because they are a small market. Like how the NBA is out to get the Spurs? Then their guys push to get every rebound and foul on every play. I seriously think Sloan tells his guys to foul on every play because the Refs CAN'T and WON'T call a foul on every play.
This is always a dog fight game... Hopefully rockets will survive and keep the position we need for home court advantage
Jazz play uglyball - somewhat reminiscent of the 80's pistons. dirty play + laissez faire officiating = jazz gameplan glad we have artest now.
I want no one in the Jazz's team having an off game. If any of them had to (have an off game), it will be because of how we play. I want to see a real test with a real playoffs feel and that we beat them fair and square, leaving absolutely no stones unturned.
Destory Korver's gay elf defence . Reason we are 2 up so far was because their main guys were injured last time round. Its gonna be tougher this time round since they are all back. Saying that I believe this is a game we can win because the team want to show the jazz that no tmac equals no problem.
The Jazz play very well in their building, they are 26-6. This will be a very tough game, the Jazz will try to exploit the matchup against Brooks big time. Pretty sure Adelman will play Lowry more minutes in his game plan to counter that or have one of the wings guard him.
I've been loathing this game since the Jazz started playing well again. They're GREAT at home and we're mediocre AT BEST on the road. If we beat them tonight that will say a lot about us as a team post-McGrady. Damn, that Artest video really fired me up about tonight
