Comparing our talent to the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, Portland, Magic and Cavs, we are below their talent level.

Centers - Howard is better than Yao, Bynam, etc.

Power Forwards- Duncan/ Garnett is better than Scola, Gasol, etc.

Small Forward- LeBron is better than Artest, Odom, Pierce, etc.

Two Guard- Kobe is better than Battier, Ray Allen, Roy, etc.

Point Guard- Parker is better than Brooks, Rafer, Rondo, etc.

When you assess our talent to other teams, we are average. Our best player at this point, Yao Ming, has to have a perfect entry pass to him each time to get the ball in the paint. HE CAN NOT HOLD HIS POSITION, HE DOES NOT HAVE GOOD HANDS, HE STILL FALLS DOWN TOO MUCH!! When was the last time you saw Dwight Howard fall down or loose his position. I love the Rockets and Yao, but Yao is not the best center in the game. If he is the best center in the game, it's no way you loose to Chicago and you are up by 17 points with 6 minutes left in the game. When McGrady was healthy, we didn't have a Scola, Landry, Artest, or Brooks. We had below average talent; Juwan Howard, Bobby Sura, David Wesley, Stromile Swift, Jon Barry (Those players were at the end of their careers or below average) Now we have a buch of average talent at each position, which is not all bad, if we had a healthy McGrady.

Are you that dumb? Are Howard, Duncan, Lebron, Kobe, and Parker on the same team? Are you that stupid to compare our team to a legitimate starting five for US olympics? You took pretty much the best at each position and compared them to our starters LOL. Ya, I can see that we're average when compared to a lineup that doesn't exist....nice try.

of course....were going to blame Tmac if this team dosent make it out of the first round... ;)

why are we still talking about him? well technically he still is on the team...

and his 20 million dollar salary is leaving a big hole in the lineup...

but the reason im teed off... and as a Rox fan you should be...

is the fact that Tmac basically threw the Organization and the team.. under the bus...

he basically blocked any trades for him... and then took himself off the team for the next 6 to 12 months...

doing this few days before the trade deadline... for a season ending selective surgery on a non weight bearing part of his knee...

like the doctors said... other players play through the pain... Tmac chose not too..

Ill be cheering for the Rox everygame... and I expect us to do some damage in the playoffs...

and we have some young and old faces to this team to cheer for...

but I dont expect we will have any chance to win it all....

thanks in no small part to Tmac...

He should just keep his trap shut until he is healthy and able to contribute to a NBA team. Mcgrady is getting killed everywhere. Now people are calling him $23 million dollar ATM Mcgrady (ATMac) in addition to all his other monikers: Me-Mac, She-Mac, McLady, Stacy McBaby, Lamar Mccgrady...

    Not really!

I am 100 percent sure he will not get the title even if he played with Shaq/Duncan. The reason is quite simple and clear. He is not Kobe/Parker, never was and never be! :D

Kobe and Wade haven't won championship without Shaq but they passed first round. T-Slack never passed first round on different teams. More ironically, teams after T-Slack's departure all made past first round.

otoh, can you really blame him? he's just doing the best he can - for himself. hey, if i think i can go under the knife, take 6-12 months off, get all the pains out of my body, and then get ready for the 2010 market, while still getting paid comfortably, why the heck not?

this is what guaranteed max contracts can do for ya.

Just let this thread die now...let's focus on the team and the players who are actually playing...

He can definitely make himself more marketable for the off-season, but value comes with court-production. And even if surgery was the right thing to do, he could have discussed this with the organization before talking to the media.

Even if what TMac said was true (rather than just a load of crap), there's no excuse for throwing your teammates and the Rox organization under the bus.
