All the cry babies for alston is crazy. The rox shouldve traded rafer this summer and rolled with brooks, then backed him up with a vet. All those talking about who Brooks can't guard, what about them guarding him? They don't even guard Rafer and just keep sinking in Yao's lap. At least brooks has the quicks and finishing ability to make people pay when they close out not under control. Adelman has never, ever, ever had a pg that couldn't shoot except when he had j will. He shipped him off by yr 3. Didn't I make this analogy at the end of last season? Adelmans psuedo motion offense requires the pg to be more scorer than a typical set up man. Go look at porter and bibby. Although a bit smaller, brooks is closer to those guys than rafer. Get over Rafer (Magic Johnson) Alston and get with the program. The Rox aren't winning a title this year, but Brooks development will help speed up the process of rebuilding on the fly.
Deron Williams is one the best pg's in the league, of course AB will have trouble guarding him. He can go off on anyone. I can see Utah posting AB in short situations, but not the whole game. Utah's offense has always been hard screens, back cuts. I dont think Sloan would change his bread and butter. What AB needs to do is be more decisive with the ball in late game situations and attack more. Not necessarily shoot more but make the other pg play some D.... get in the lane create for himself or open looks for his teammates. Hopefully that Chicago game lit a fire in his a**. Somethimes you gotta hit rock bottom to go back up.
I believe what Coach A said. I just want to point out that we seldom had melt down games against decent games. I think Coach A treated some games as practice when playing against weak teams.
if he says it to brooks, there's nothing wrong with it. but if he says something like that to tmac, there's a lot wrong with it. double standard perhaps? i just don't get it. Tmac needs to stop being a crybaby because Ron said nothing wrong.
Yeh but jeff's offense was horrible. If either yao or tracy had an off nite or was out we barely win. And we were a boring boring team. I don't even think our defense was that good. We held oppenets cuz we did a good job of walkin the ball up instead of pushing atleast every once and awhile.
I think it will, Will. Pay off in the playoffs, that is. Although I'm not ready to say winning a title this season is hopeless, like leebigez (I'm too optimistic...it's a fault, I know, but I'm that way every season), I think we'll get past the second round. Considering our struggles the last several seasons, that would be groovy. I just want more. Now.

Above are all references to a massive collapse we had at home last season with our entire lineup healthy. And what about all the losses this season to cellar dwellars? Shouldn't those be considered?
