Mcgrady is wishing the Rockets lose without him. He is such a baby. When other players get hurt they still root for the team but not ME-MAC. The guy should realize if the Rockets win a title he still gets a ring. How ironic if he gets a ring not playing a single game in the playoffs. That will just make his quote look even worst even though it's very unlikely it will happen. It'll just be ironic.

Why would anyone want to punch him in the nose? Is it that serious?

That sounds real ignorant for someone to leave considering how close they are. Believe what you want but it was obvious and everyone knows the main reason why he left. If he didn't want to be in Vince Carter shadow then I wonder why the both of them wants to play together again.

I lived in Toronto when T-Mac was there, and from what the media was telling people at the time he left because he wanted to be the first scoring option. He would also complain about his role on team while he was playing for the Raptors, he also stated he wanted to stay in Toronto.

As far as the quote he was answering a question pertaining to his lack of playoff success.

The truth is that you do not need a way above avg. team to get pass the first round! There are plenty of teams who make noise with avg. teams. (golden state.... ) . It's not like we were the 8th seed, or anything we were good enough to be the 4th or 5th seed in the west so obviously there was an oppurtunity for us to get out of the 1st round.

If you look back with most of those series we can came a couple of buckets short from getting past the 1st round. Now is that Tmac fault or the teams fault or maybe both. Regardless he has as little right to throw his team mates under the bus as his team mates have the right to point out his flaws (like his half ass D or that horrible FT% last year) and failures. (which they have not done publicly)

What really pisses me off about Tmac isn't his play on the court (all players have ups and down and his play has been mostly positive thru out his career) It's the crazy s**t and the lies that comes out of his mouth like " I worked my butt off during the off season to be ready for the season" 6 months later " because of the surgery I was not able to work out durin the off season" or " I was just tired" after he was shut down in the fourth qtr. against the jazz in the playoffs.

For a Tmac worshipper, you certainly know nothing about his basketball history. You remind me of a Jordan jocker I met once in DC when I asked him who coached the Bulls before Phil Jackson, he couldn't give me answer.

    http://hoopshype.com/interviews/mcgrady_carro.htm

And it seems like you improve your game every season. What's the main difference between Orlando's McGrady and Toronto's McGrady?

TM: The fact of having the chance of showing what your level is. I was the second or third option in the team there. I was not the key player. In Orlando, I'm the franchise player, the one that has to step on the floor and make things happen, being a great example and leading by example.

I can't leave without asking you about that rumor that says you sleep 12 hours a day...

TM: You can be sure I slept a lot in Toronto because the weather was terrible and I hardly leave home. All I did was watching TV and sleep. That's not the case in Orlando, because I have a baby. That has helped me in some manner to be more responsible.

What's the relationship with your cousin Vince?

TM: Yeahh. I'm OK with my cousin. There is no problem between us. There was a time when things were said on both sides that muddied things a little, but we're fine now.

    ignorant.... ^ you said it...

Tmac time... here = Houston Rocket not Rocket Scientist...

even Tmacs official website... created by his mother of all people list Tmac being overshadowed by Carter... "After a few seasons in Carter’s shadow"

    http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/about

btw he didnt leave as a free agent...

Tmac was traded....for a first round draft pick...

and it wasnt because the team wanted to get rid of him... it was because they were trying to get what they could for him... since he was ready to bolt...

lnot unlike the Orlando Rockets trade to get Tmac over here...

evidence.. the Toronto Raptors GM at the time...stating that in a interview... article posted on this site a few weeks back...

Tmac stating in the press and privately to the Gm he wanted to stay... before changing his mind...

thus screwing the Raptors out of somthing more than a 1st round draft pick...or drafting Tmac in the first place...

Hey Fox26 had a 5 minute exclusive interview with Tmac today somewhere off of 59 by the Toyota Center....

He scares little children when they drive by with their parents, I even heard he might have exposed himself for Pain Killers.

Do you think he is legitimate to say this in front of media? He should be condemned as a teammate.

You guys arent understanding the context, hes referring to his prime (Orlando days) hence the phrase, put me in ORLANDO with Shaq.

His days as Houston were on the downslope of his career, and when your on the decline you need more help thats why he said replace Pierce with him NOW healthy.

He joined a team that was going to feature Grant Hill, he had no problem playing alongside another star, the main reason he left the Raps was because they play in TORONTO. In fact before the season ended he had a conversation with Grant asking him where he was going, they both agreed Orlando would be their ideal situation and they wanted to play together.

Although what he said was correct, Yao was nowhere near Shaq or Duncan's level when at their respective prime, but he shouldn't have said that. TMac seems always shoot himself on the foot whenever opens his mouth.

Exactly, I don't think he meant any harm by it. Although he should probably think about all the crazy (in a good way) Rockets fanboys who are ready to crucify him. You guys act like he is the CEO of AIG or GM or something. The guy barely graduated high school and didn't go to college, what do you expect?

If you switch Paul Pierce with Tmac on the current celtics , they would crash and burn in a minute even with the Orlando Tmac.

Paul Pierce is a good shooter but the more valuable asset he has is his ability to drive to the rim with reckless abandon. Pierce is simply on a higher level when driving and slashing is concerned. As for comparing their outside shooting and ability to play with pain...well enough said

So why are all of you still talking about him if you hate him so much?? He's out and the team is playing well, can you all be satisfied? T-Mac is speaking his mind and that seems to be the problem people have along with his salary. Yet, it was ok for others to speak their truths as long as it was putting him down. Go figure. There is nothing new stated on these threads from the many posted before. Most of these people want him gone but they keep talking about him. Does that actually make sense? Oh, well.

While the team has played better I am not going out on anymore limbs with my expectations. I will enjoy their effort. The West is going to be tough and if we get a bad match up we are going to have some major challenges. Our role players are going to have to consistently deliver unlike the playoffs of the past years. If the team unfortunately doesn't get out of the first round this year who will you blame then?

New topic... I am actually pulling for Lowry to become the starting PG. I like his overall game better than Brooks even though Brooks has the better shot.
