Definitely sounds like he's worth a look. We needed another wing to bring us to five with TMac out. Also, Artest and Wafer aren't signed for next year, so it's good to take a look at this guy to see if he fits if one or both of those guys bolt. We go into free agency this year with only Shane and Brent under contract and healthy at the wings.

ur kidding me. hes not giong to get any minutes since our rotation is already set. hes just going to be filler for when we rest shane and artest for the playoffs. gerald green would have a better chance of breaking the rotation than white.

Talent wise I agree, but I think I`ve heard some reports telling that White is working all the time on the court. While we all know how green was sometimes lost out there.

There must be some holdup. I am wondering if the release of guys like Gooden, Smith, and Moore is causing Morey and Adelman to reconsider? Or possibly some other team has gone hunting for White as well?

I still hope we sign him. I'd rather have him over another big at this point. Gooden has skills but doesn't have intelligence. Smith isn't worth it unless we are going to turn loose Deke. Moore? Possibly I suppose. Again, if we sign him, I don't see why we would keep Deke. Which would leave room to sign White anyways if we dropped Deke. However, I don't see us dropping Deke. I don't think we want a rep as slapping around vets on minimum deals like that.

San Antonio has a good front office that knows how to draft and build a team. Yeah they traded away Luis Scola but every team misses once in a while. The Rockets even missed with Richard Jefferson and I'm sure there were other guys they let go and look at them now. With the Spurs you rarely see that happen. James White will not be missed or even see the floor here. 10 days will go quick before you know it. Most likely 2 or 3 games the most he'll suit up

Are those your thoughts on Luis Scola as well? This comment makes no sense.

Luis Scola was already known and proven by playing with against USA teams in the past. The Spurs got rid of him because they had nowhere to play him with Tim Duncan and Alberto. Scola was not going to play over Duncan noway nohow.

Fair enough. Let's wait and see. I'm not saying White is going to amount to anything here, but to impy that just becase SA got rid of someone so they must be trash is an absurd argument. Clearly there is something to White that the Rockets like or they wouldn't be interested him.

I agree with what your saying but from my view its a waste. I've watched him in Cincinnati and basically all the guy can do is jump out the gym and dunk. Basically a Gerald Green without a consistent jump shot. But then again I could be wrong. Look at what happened to Von Wafer. Even though I'm still not a believer like most guys on this board but it can happen. He went from a scrub to getting mins even though I still think he is over-rated. There is a reason why he went from team to team.

    Are you freakin serious?!?!?

He has barely ever been rated at all, and now all of a sudden he has become overrated!

Please, he is a very good role player obviously he has been going from team to team cause he hadn't developed his game. Now with us he is showing that he belongs in the league. No one is saying that he is a star or anything just that he has become a pleasant surprise to take Head's old minutes.

Looking at Yao, the least athletic player in the league got max and will get max extension, I guess you already figured out that athleticism doesn't mean **** in NBA.

VSPAN was known and proven too. Why did we get rid of him? He could have been our Kyle Lowry with size :D
