If you could have any two people in this years draft who would they be?

Mines would be drafting Qyntel Woods with our #5 and trading our #15 and Kenny to move up to about #8 to get Nickoloz Tskitishvili.

PS this is ANY two people you could have in this year's draft. Doesn't matter where people place them on their mock drafts!

    Best Case:
    1.) Woods
    2.) Stoudamire

but I wouldn't be upset with:
    1.) Dunleavy
    2.) Wilcox

in all actuality, I think it will be:
    1.) Dunleavy
    2.) some foreign guy

I think Wilcox, 5 and Jefferies @ 15 would be a nice draft

Obviously it has to be Ming and Woods!

Woods and Stoudamire would be my choice and I think that it can be a reality this year if we trade the 15 and Thomas for the draft rights for Stoudamire.

I take Woods w/ the #5. Realistically, We'd have to trade our pick and a player to move up to 6-10 slots and take either Dunleavy or Tskitishvili.

Woods can play the 2 or 3 without losing a step, which is why we put him at the 2, as a back-up, at the beginning. Dunleavy or Tskitishivili could step right in and start at the sf spot next year. Dunleavy could possibly play a little 2-guard, and Tskitishivili (I'm getting tired of typing that name) could play either the 3, 4, or 5 spots equally as well. This would give us a super-talented team, with quite a bit of versatility, just like the Mavs have.

Eventually, Woods would replace Mobley in the starting line-up, in a McGrady mold (physically, I mean). Mobley would be a huge spark, offensively, off of the bench. He and Francis would cause huge matchup probs. b/c of theirpenetrating abilities, leaving the perimeter for Dunleavy or Tskit to open the flood gates on the threes. If we get Tskit over Dunleavy, he might be a legitimate threat at center. With some muscle poundage, he could be great down low, and still roam around, leaving the lane wide open for Francis, Mobes, Woods, and Griff.

    Francis / Mooch
Woods/ Mobley as the 6th man
    Dunleavy / Woods / Rice / T-Mo
    Griffin / Taylor
    Cato / Collier

    or:

    Francis / Mooch
    Woods / Mobley
    Tskitishivili / Woods / Rice / T-Mo
    Griffin / Tskitishivili / Mo-T
    Cato / Tskitishivili / Collier:mad:

We could sort of do what Memphis did last year, by drafting a couple of stars in the same draft (Gasol, and Battier) and watching them develop into stars!

With the first pick I would be happy with one of the following players in no particular order:

Gooden, Wilcox, Woods, Butler, or mebbe the Euro dude if he's legit.

With the second pick, I'd be happy with: Ely, Marcus, Stoudemire, or someone who falls, like mebbe Hilario, Jeffries, or the Euro dude.

Ideally? I would like to get Gooden and Jeffries, if he falls that far. Gooden is a warrior imo, and Jeffries could be a good role-player to platoon at sf next season, which would be good for a rook 15th pick.

Wow. KT AND 15 for Stoudemire??? are you joking??? I'd rather have KT any day, and Stoudemire will most likely be there at 15 anyway with such a deep draft.....

Ming and Gooden/Borchardt could turn this team around big time!

Ming and Gooden. Ming gives us a strong presence in the middle and Gooden can play PF since Griffin seems more suited for SF.

Not likely to fall this way, but the question was asked.

One would think Griffin would be better suited to SF ala Kevin Garnett, but the Rockets never played him there AFAIK.

I wouldn't be so sure. Remember when all the high school kiddies started working out last year. Curry was already picked to go pretty high, but the interest in Chandler, Brown, and Diop skyrocketed. Why? Because when the teams worked those guys out they were amazed by their athleticism and their potential. I know this is a deeper draft, but I think Stoudamire is even more athletic than any of the high school kids from last year's draft. I bet Stoudamire goes in the top ten.

Woods and Gooden or Caron Butler.

This Nick Schtick or whatever might be alright.

I think Woods, Butler, and Nick whatever will be the best SF's out there and thats what we need. Gooden has a lot of hustle in him, will play defense, board and come to play every game. We need these traits more than anything else.

I think so too besides we had better get value for either Thomas or MoT while we can. Make that just Thomas while we can. A Stoudamire could improve rapidly because he has good size, and Woods seems like a can't miss.

Why is everyone so hyped about Chris Marcus? I mean the guy couldn't hold his own against Borchardt when they played in the second round of the ncaa turney. I mean everytime i have seen this guy he would ALWAYS get into foul trouble against some of the better college centers. That said if he couldn't guard some of the better college centers then how would he be able to take on any nba centers?
