What is he supposed to say? "I don't have the desire to exceed expectations..."
    It's a freaking interview... DUH!

Hey T-Mac what separates you from T. Duncan, Shaq, KG your peers on the same talent level...?

"I didn't get to play with them..."

    Seems pretty clear cut.

He was on average teams... if they were above average then they would have compensated for his weaknesses. Well, assuming we truly are a team.

I am not twisting his words or misleading anyone, I am just not looking for some hidden meaning or jab at his teammates.

Yall leave TMac alone. He is very valuable to this team.

Next year his huge expiring contract is up and his value will have never been higher. ;) How sad is it that his contract is now more valuable than he is?

I agree with my fellow fans. If kobe bryant was on this team, we would have at least won 2 championships. Championships are built by the players on that team, not the team. If tracy was on the lakers instead of kobe, they wouldnt have won anything either. Period. Its the player that makes a difference, not the team.

Did he forgot the Raptors team he bailed on that had a Vince Carter and Antonio Davis in their prime? That team was being billed as the next great team before Tracy left. Carter, Mcgrady, and Davis would have won many playoff series. In fact the Raptors advanced after Mcgrady left the team so how dare he say he has never played with with a good team.

Is there any voice recording for this interview. Most ppl here are shocked like me. I like Tmac before and I think he is more talented than mosy other players, including Yao.

Were it true, is there any player wants to be in the same team with this dude? no matter who is him, the man is nothing but a garbage, even it's Kobe, Wade or someone else.

The only reason this Rockets team is average is because of YOU T-SLACK. You suck ball this year...you can't play defense, you shoot at a horrible rate and taking a majority of them which kills ANY TEAM. So for you to come out and say the team is average due to your stupidity low IQ analogy is just plain wrong.

The ONLY reason you're still a ROCKET player is because some stupid owner fall in love with you and still think of you as a "SUPERSTAR" with "COMPETITIVE NATURE." Totally bullshyt, if i am the owner, i would ship your azz out of here long time ago.

him in his orlando days with shaq or him switch with paul pierce, then he would still not be able to advance out of 1st round because there is a curse going on with him.

This comment by Tmac sicken me. First of all, this Rockets team is not, i repeat IS NOT an average team. So it is an "INSULT" for him to come out and say that and what do you think his teammates think?? I am sure they think the same...very insulting. In fact, Tmac clearly said before the season and even last year that this is the best team he had and no doubt will be competing for the Championship. But things are not working well this year all because of YOU, not because we have an average team, wake the f*** up!!!

We have Yao You Ron Battier Scola....that ain't no average...wake up!! You're making this team worst because your azz shoot at a horrible rate and you don't play shyt on defense. What makes you think that if you play with Shaq or Duncan that you can get a Championship. Perhaps you ended up hurting those teams too as you have hurt the Rockets with you injure-proned lazy non-competitive azz.

He never said THIS team was average. He's talking about the previous years, which is true, those teams were average.

Last year, if Yao had not gone down, they would've been contenders. But without Yao, that team was pretty average. Throw in the fact that Rafer was out 2 and a half games...

Anyways, what happened to the thread that was talking about the exact same article? It seemed like that thread was more sensible yet it disappeared, but this hate-spewing thread with a misspelled title survives.....

he dont have the abilities anymore so the only thing left for him is his glory days in orlando being a 2 time scoring champ. Congrates Tmac we didn't forget those days yet, now please just go home and rehab your knees and stop being a team cancer.

Wow, what a pr***. I don't want to see him a Rockets uniform ever again. I've been one to keep giving him the benefit of the doubt, but, man, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

If he is right, he just admitted he is not good enough. 99% players in this league could make the same argument.

This is ridiculous. Tmac, as a "superstar", you are supposed to make
a team elevate from average to elite. You truly have a loser's mind.
You want to show off your skill and take credits but not take
responsibilities? You know what, everyone in housotn would be happy
to swtch you with Paul Pierce. And there's definitely no question.

Shaq, TD, KG are all fortunate enough to

    play WITHOUT TMAC.
