I agreed that this team need a 2nd go-to-guy, BUT we don't need a go-to-guy like Tmac because he sucks and very inconsistent at shooting and he's unwilling to drive to the basket and he's non-competitive hurting the team as a result. Not to mention he can't play shyt on defense. But we already have that go-to-guy and his name is Ron Artest. It's just that for some reason in the 4th quarter, he forgot to play to his strength which is bulldozer his way to the basket to draw fouls instead settling for homerun 3pointers...so i don't think we need a 2nd go-to-guy. If anything, we need to trade Tmac to get a some decent players off the bench to provide sparks in case Yao need to sit or Ron need to sit.
But i have no problem with Artest ballhogging if he go to his strength which is posting up. Like i say many time, Ron Artest is a very competitive player especially in big game, so don't be surprised if he try to be the hero and want to take over the game himself...which is what i like about him. But what i don't like is and i had said this before, he sometimes failed to go to his strength...his bread and butter play: posting up and abuse his man by driving inside. He needs to keep doing that.
I have no issue with Ron ball-hogging either. In this situation, someone must step out, and I'm glad he tried hard. But against a very aggressive defense, posting up isn't the best option. The best option is to cause the chaos in the defense. A player with very quick steps and high percentage shooting is the key. Wafer is the only one has the potential.
What the hello does fact of faction have to do with anything? Fact: you watch too much office Fact: "How many loses can wake you up?" is not stating a fact? its actually a question. A poorly written question. Question: Is von wafer the answer?? ***FALSE*** it was a trick question
You have problem read facts from a rhetorical question? All right, here is the direct version. Fact: You were, you are and you will keep losing.
Is there any way to give negative stars? Let me start by saying, never again post a title like that, that annoys me and possibly anyone one else that is a Houston native, it is not clever, it is not original, it is nothing but stupid. Also this was one loss people, I hated it as much as anyone, but come on it is one loss and everyone has a terrible loss at some point. Just as long as the Rockets players take it as a learning experience, I will be happy.
The Rocket will figure out to solve this problem. Teams can front Yao and they will find some god plays to exploit this defense. The biggest problem I have is with the Refs. I noticed against Portland & Chicago, both in the 4th qtr, the refs have been allowing the opponents to really just flat out abuse Yao Ming.
I apologize if this title hurts your feeling. Everyone has a terrible loss at some point, but smart one learns from the loss while dumb one keep losing in a same way.
They almost had a problem when they was about to blow up the team. Was about to trade Artest and Alston for Baron Davis. legal proof:: http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_a.../source_clips_almost_traded_baron_for_artest/
wonder what the stats are on Wins/Losses when leading going into the fourth quarter, and when trailing going into the 4th quarter, for every team. If I heard correctly, the Rockets had blown 4 fourth quarter leads before Chicago's game, which makes it now 5 for the year. That's what I thought Bill said. While too many to be an elite team, considering the elite teams are still in the teens on losses, it isn't as bad as it seems. Though, if the number is true, I know 3 of them are now enormous collapses - San Antonio, Indiana, Chicago. Still, constantly injured and changing lineup. Trading away your starting PG and starting a talented, but young former reserve. This team just doesn't have the all-in talent and consistency of an elite team yet. Doesn't mean it can't get everything to work come playoff time... Not that this thread isn't horrible...from the title, to the fact that there are a bazillion threads confronting this issue, to the horrible suggested solutions
i think the team just needs to stay focus for 48 minutes.. they lost the game because they thought they had it in the bag at 43 minutes..
