agreed to most of what you said. but we SHOULD be able to solve the fronting. i firmly believe for every move, there is a counter. the thing is i so rarely see them try anything close to a solution in real games; which leads me to wonder if they truly practice on that. btw, ab is limited and hasn't showed me he's allstar material. his range is good and his speed is obviously amazing. i agree he has yet to learn how to maximize these to his advantage and he needs a little time. but if he can't draw fouls under the bucket once he gets there, that kills half of his assets right there.
I was at this game! Yeah, the Rockets had a really bad fourth quarter - they should have tried to feed it more to Yao in the closing minutes - that is their biggest weapon but they steer away from it when they need it most. I didn't know Tracy was in the building! I didn't see him.
Well at least we know that the cancer that is "KneeMac" is only effective in deterring this team when he is in the same building as the Rockets. Lucky for us he is staying in Chicago to rehab and that is our last game in that STATE this year. We should be good to go for the rest of the year.
I'm with you on this. I had forgotten how I used to get excited for every game. The Artest thing was awesome. I love the passion. This game was a little frustrating, but I still see the light.
finisher wasn't the issue tonight, or the last in order. it wasn't a close game until we choked for about 8 minutes.
I sure as hell hope not. Actually, I take that back. I want him there in game 4 of the 1st round to see the brooms out as we sweep our first opponent. The look on his laxidasical face would be priceless. "We just won the series, I guess thats my fault too" -Tmac
What was Artest doing after the game? I caught the first half on TV but couldnt convince my friends to turn it back on until right after the game ended.
well I dont know about you guys... but... up by 17 points... we really didnt need to get that many more points... it really became how much time we could waste.... letting the bulls score like 30 points after shutting them down for 16 the previous... quarter should be discussed too... I thought we were suppose to be a good defensive team???
It's a letdown but I hope the Rockets learn the lessons again. They cannot go cold in the 4th quarter or stop moving the ball when the opposition starts fronting Yao or make low percentage decisions on offense. I believe we have the personnel to go deep in the play-offs but execution keeps falling on the wayside time and time again. Could it be the coaching?
Once again we were out coached in the fourth quarter. And once again our point guard cost us the game. When is this nonsense going to stop. I am tired of the Rockets being out-coached by sub 500 teams.
Ron Ron jacking the ball up once again like always! He needs a better shot selection! LIVE BY DA 3, DIE BY DA 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion, this was about mainly two things. Going away from the game plan or a poor game plan and illogical substitution patterns. First of all, Yao cannot go 12 and 4 before getting a break. I understand you didn't want to use Chuck and run a short rotation, but until you get Landry back, no more running Yao for 16 straight minutes on court... especially against a shorter faster team. Secondly, Brent Barry can still play 6 minutes a half so you can utilize your defenders a bit better. Yes, I realize he was stinking the place up in the first half minutes you gave him, but the guy is a professional he would have turned it around. Game plan. There were about seven or eight sequences where you could see the offense working, but that was it. A good majority of our offense tonight was Ron taking bad shots or forced shots and by sheer luck making them. You can ask some of the Clutchfans who sat in front of or around me at the game tonight. Even when Ron's "off balance fade away all I did was dribble a few times" shot's went in, I was complaining. I knew the more he made them, the more likely it was to kill us in the end (surprise! I was sooo right). Ron, I love you dear, but stick to running the offense, do not go rogue on me. Also defensively we looked like a sieve. Biggest holes, Yao on Miller, Scola totally losing it on rotations and Aaron getting his butt whooped in the 4th. Aaron did good to start the third and he didn't do incredibly horrible in the first half. Finally, You cannot run a seven man rotation with this group. It just won't work. Plus you need to use my boy a little bit to get his feet wet in the first half, because despite the fact that the offense fell back into iso plays for Ron, defense is the reason this game went to hell in a hand basket. Give Chuck his six minutes and remove the curse. I have pictures of the BBS people but I don't want to post anything until I hear from people
