And yet again, after great performances on 2 top tier teams..b2b too, we melt in the 4th against low seeded Bulls. LOL
I really need to stop watching basketball. It's getting too damn expensive to keep replacing the remotes and now my lap top.
btw, plz dont boost Van Wafer anymore. He only focus the basket when he breaks. Sometimes it is a better choice to pass ball to other ppl. Hoper someone can teach him.
From the beginning of fourth quarter when I found Yao was in the court, I thought I will be trouble for the rocket because Yao did not get enough rest. The coach may be crazy in the rotation. Another problem of the coach is the use of Brook. Brook can not match with Rose. Lowry is better against Rose and give the ball to Yao.
I never said they never coughed up leads with Rafer. I said since the trade they haven't been able to beat fronting defenses and it's not a coincidence.
our coach really has some problems we can find out from the time he calls for a timeout the reaction after a timeout, or any timeout most important thing, it seems he has not THAT much experience to use a huge center like YAO this is especially worse when YAO is fronted i bet he would trade YAO for MILLER at that time 'cause seriously, he really "have no idea"
This is pretty much it. Like I said, we need to use Lowry more - he's an interesting character. And when we get Landry back, we won't need to use Yao so much, which means he won't be so tired in the end.
14 points in the last quarter We have one of these quarters in every single game. We can only play 3 quarters.
GREAT POINT, Adelman fails to realize this going down the stretch. We should murder them with the High PnR role when teams try to front Yao.
Ron wasn't gonna fight anyone, he just wanted to smother a ref or two But yeah, big props to Deke for saving us from a potential season-wrecking incident.
Some observations: 1. The two most overrated players on this team: Aaron Brooks and Luis Scola 2. The players and coaches don't trust Yao Ming down the stretch. (not necessarily a bad thing). three or four touches in the second half. Don't give me that fronting crap. They are hesitant to pass when he is open. 3. Adelman is a player's coach 4. This is actually a good loss because it shows some problems they have to address (if the team actually cares about winning and wants to go somewhere), which include: 1) who is our go to guy, especially in the 4th? we are 23 - 2 when Yao scores 20+, artest has 32 tonight and we lost. (His overall 4th quarter performance this season is very bad, one of the worse on the team along with Mac) Brooks? (Overrated) Scola? (Overrated) Wafer? (has potential) 2) Fronting problem = trusting issues? First of all, do they even practice fronting in practices? It is easy to beat fronting by swing the ball quickly and hit yao quickly when he is open. Brook got so scared today (and Portland game) when fronting begin and started to make stupid plays. 3) Is Adelman a player's coach? Yes, he is and he doesn't trust the current Franchise player down the stretch. 4) Defensive intensity drops significantly on the road, why? Some solutions to our problem!? 1. Establish the go to guy, especially down the stretch. It is pretty obvious who the leader is right now and that is Artest (good or bad? that is for another day)/ But who is the go to guy? Yao? Artest? Brooks? Wafer? 2. Best Rotations? Has to set down the rotations IMO. 20 games left and we have to start playing some fixed rotations and gel. 4th quarter rotation: Yao, Landray, Artest, Battier and Lowry in IMO gives us the best chance. 3. Rebuilding in the summer? Also a viable option. I would start by trading Yao for some good pieces. Obviously Adelman want a big man that can play in the high post and good passer. Bosh maybe? Resign Artest? Rebuilding isn't a bad option actually and it may give us a better chance in the future.
Not sure if many of the posters actually watched the game - they fronted yao eariler in the game but they moved the ball amd got open shots. At the end of the game I guess some became too afraid to shoot some wanted to be a hero. So they dribbled the shot clock away. Anyway, this is very frustrating but I guess it's part of the growing pain. Good teams execute their game plan in the last 2 minutes of the game as well as the fist 2 minutes.
