I'm still waiting for Artest to tell Yao to take it to the hole more and throw it down rather than lay it up.

Ron speaks his mind, thats the way he is. IN his mind he did nothing wrong. But like some said, he should have held back and told him on his own.

constructive criticism is good when the source follows what he's preaching...I like the pushing of Yao...Artest is showing leadership qualities. Now if he tried to tell Yao how to shoot that is a different story

What Yao needs the most is keeping healthy! I remember that he was injured two seasons ago was because he tried to block someone.

The difference between Yao and Tmac...Tmac has a ego, you tell him he's doing something wrong and he considers it blasphemy because he's so great he does nothing wrong. Which is why he hardly blames himself when we lose.

Yao wants to get better and is probably thankful Artest is telling him where he needs to improve.

    right on the healthy part...but

we won't be any good if yao shys away from blocks because of health.

and it was more of a mistake by a teammate than yao's fault for that injury, - chuck hayes had a real problem of falling everywhere back then. he busted shaqs knee a few weeks before sliding out of control into yao's leg.

hayes has gotten more experience, isn't stumbling and sliding all around anymore. Yao should be fine

Ron Artest is so valued on this team it is not even funny.

He is our best defensive coach, right along side of Battier. Any advice Artest gives to this team about defense shouldn't be taken with a grain of salt, he knows exactly what he speaks of. Artest giving defensive advice to Yao is more valued than Battier taking on that role IMO.

    I agree.

I would like to see more of his blocks. And for the past several games, Yao improved a lot and changed his way of playing games a lot. He tried to block the shots and jump to get the rebound and was more active. He's more aggresive on the both ends.

I know he got injured cause of wearing out of his body and was afraid that he was too aggresive to get injured. Now I am not worrying. He got his form back.

With T-mac wasted, he needs and will step up. Hopefully, Carl will be back soon and get some of Yao's mins on the court. In a long term, we need Yao to be shorten his mins on the court and be effective to lead the team in the postseason.

Artest spoke too much on his teammates to the Publice media, if he keeps doning this, he will be kicked out of Rockets without any warning!

Throwing your teammates under the bus in public is never a good thing. Nice spin though.
