It's our corporate crowd (lower bowl). Your sentiments do not apply to the diehards. I think our diehards are just as awesome as any other teams, but when comparing the corporate crowds of Htown to say, Sacramento or Utah, hell even LA Lakers...it's pretty bad.

And it's not like corporate Houstians work earlier or have more traffic then say corporate New Yorkers, corporate Los Angelians or corporate Washingtonians. It's been this way for the Rockets as long as I can remember....but the crowds will be fine for the playoffs.

    Awesome generalization.

I've been asked NUMEROUS times to sit down, calm down, be quite, etc. I don't wear a suit to the games, I wear Red, I've been watching/attending games since before you were probably born, but some nights I am unable to stay until the end. It's either wait and watch us score 5 more points in a blowout win, or go to work fresh, get my presentation out and make owners happy and bring home a paycheck to pay the bills and keep a job.

    Good try though. Idiot.

Oh, and if you could type "douche" again that would be great. You really got over with it.

Tards whole post was a "good point" because you've been told on for being too loud?

It's no wonder why a lot of the vets left this kiddie parlor. A lot of you dorks make absolutely zero sense.

You complain because you live an hour away so you leave early. Why even go to the game if your going to complain about the distance away from the game, or how you have work in the morning? The Rockets dont deserve fans that leave early. I was saying good point because his point about the coorporates being uninterested in the game. Good try though, dont bother going to the games anymore, im sure their are other people that would much rather take your place and finish the game for you.

Man, one time my friends and I body painted our whole upper body and they wouldn't let us in to the TC center. I missed the whole 1st qt b/c i had to go back to my car and grab a shirt. I was steaming. All that hard work and for them to not allow me in. Its not just the stuck up corp snobs, it's also the damn staff and TC facility.

I've been to over 6 different arenas and the only worse crowd I saw was in DC at the verizon center. But that was this year, I'm sure it was a lot better when Agent 0 was around.

    That's what I thought...

Game 5 of last season's playoff was a great experience, but made me mad at some of the lower bowl fans!

These "Rocket" fans would wear blue collar shirts!

there's nothing wrong with toyota center or the productions they put on during the game. it's a great arena.

the problem is 100% in people just finding their way to the seats when the game starts. for the most part they're in the building they just hang out in the lounges instead of watching the action. it also sucks when they leave early. that game yesterday emptied out when it was already decided that we would win, it seems like you'd want to stick around and cheer on a team that just put on a great show.

So how does it make no sense that he acknowledges my point for being 'told on for being too loud'? If you see nothing wrong with that in a SPORTING EVENT, then you must be rolling with the rest of the stoics glued to their seats.

I'm glad you have a job. I'm glad you seem to be involved in games despite being apart of the corporate demographic. You're 1 in 10000, literally. I'm glad everyone down there seems to have a nice office job. Doesn't mean you belong at Toyota Center. So next time you should probably tell your kin down there to get off their f'n iPhones, stop being so sensitive and allow those around them to enjoy the game. Oh, and God forbid, they actually yell a time or two as well, or to get the ***** out of there and give them up to people that actually care.

Granted, this is not all their fault. I've been apart of the fan council, and the president himself acknowledged that they "have to keep the lights on." It was unbelievable.

Oh, and sorry two "douches" offended you so much. You were obviously trying to "insult" me in some way, but it just didn't sting too badly. Good try, ol' timer. Have fun at the "kiddie parlor" next time, you elegant-but-enthusiastic working man fan, you.

yo, I get what you're saying. I show up early, watch the shoot arounds, yell until my throat is horse, but you can't convince 90% of those stiffs in the lower level to do anything but "be there to be there". It sickens me. I'm not going to confront them though, as it's not my place. They still piss me off, no doubt.

To say I don't belong at the Toyota Center is a joke though. I bleed Rox blood. My whole office is covered in Rockets/Astro's gear, pictures, etc. I'm just a die hard Houston fan.

There are some nights though that I do leave early due to the job situation. I am not a morning person, and me rolling in after beers and late night screaming doesn't go well in presentations. More times than not I am fighting the crowd to leave (Utah overtime game comes to mind) and work was a breeze as I didn't have early meetings, but to say I don't "belong" there is just crazy talk. I pay good money for the tickets. I buy the food. I pay for parking. I pay for beer. I'd say I'm a pretty damn good fan. Plus I post on the best forum on the planet. Casual fans could give a **** about a BBS pertaining to the Rockets.

You wanna do like like a fist bump and make it all cool again? ;)

I hate our lower bowl fan base. They leave early regardless.. ok its one thing to leave early when we are getting blown out towards the end of 4th. I would be mad too and storm out. Its another thing entirely to leave early when we are beating the best team in the east by a huge margin. You have to stay and cheer for our Rockets!!!

I also can't stand the fact that half the seats are always empty... I'm too poor to sit that close to the court, but come on I know someone has those tickets!

Lower bowl fans need to start bleeding rocket red before they come to the games...

BTW- I was not at the game Thursday night. Meeting or not, I would have been there to cheer and mock Lebron at the end. I was actually posting in the Rockets game discussion thread.

It's games against Golden State, etc. where it was decided when I left with 2 minutes left.

I wish I was only an hour away from the home games. :(

Ron Artest is making an effort to win the fans over. :)

Whatever happened to the Red Rowdies?

Oh boo hoo - this is such a BS excuse. Leaving 4 minutes early (or 1 minute early like a lot of people did against the blazers when it was a 4 point game!) doesn't get you home markedly sooner. Some of us have meetings and jobs and thus plan around those things when we decide to go to games - and when we go, we still stay until the end.

Ron Artest has won 99% of the fanbase over. His intense style of play and comical personality make him a very likable character. He already has replaced Tracy Mcgrady in my heart.
