We can nit pick on him not going to the basket enough and little things like that.. but the guy had his hands on the ball every playoff possession and made things happen look at the numbers they DO matter. Without writing a book what would you have liked to see Tracy do in the PLAYOFFS that he didnt do. PLAYOFFS. lets be fair, people judge him on not getting out the first round but look at what he did and what his team didnt do. BTW im not *** im just being unbiased and fair.

We or any other team Tracy has played on can't get past the first round with Tracy being the 'best' player on the team or the offense running through him.

It's Yao's team now. Its so obvious and tonight was a great reason.

What did Yao do? go 13 for 15? If Tmac was there, Yao would have less possessions

The CLEAR ADVANTAGE was Yao vs Wallace/Z/Verajow
These guys are just as slow as Yao, so Yao can take them all day.

Its better this way, the scoring comes to the other players based on ball movement not iso.

And yes, if you pay someone the max salary you , as a fan, expect more than 1st round exits. As the person who's hyped up to be the best scorer as Kobe, he's completely failed. His expectations are not to win a scoring title, that's just fantasy basketball crap, he's expected to be a leader.

you don't pay a guy max salary to feel sorry for him.

He sucked no doubt, but I'm not going to start going on about him possibly faking injuries because had the surgery.

Whether it was a last option or not, if a man is required to have a surgery then he is not healthy.

It's not about defending Tracy anymore, it's about being a Rocket fan. True Rocket fans will move on, "haters" will continue and rant on and on till the seaon is over.

It's sad really, how so many Rocket fans are more interested in b****ing than enjoying the fact that Rockets just made Lebron their b****.

My main point is people blame tracy for EVERYTHING which is not fair. Yao gets paid the max also and he hasnt taken us anywhere either. Once again im not being biased im just trying to prove a point. Either way it goes im not gonna be like some fans and act like i dont want tracy on our team cause he was "faking" an injury. We were all on his banwagon when he hit 13 in 35 and when he murdered the mavs (look at that rocket roster, no athletes) I wish him the best but i agree this team looks real sharp without him right now and i love the style of play. Just saying people are too hard on him, hes always givin us all he had (except this year with his knee)

that is until someone fronts Yao Ming and we don't solve it

like we haven't done for like
5 seasons. I'm driven that unless the Rockets come first and secure home court advantage through an entire playoff we won't win the championship. Today the refs called fairly and we won. If this game was in Cleveland it would have been a different story. Now repeat this like over 4 rounds.

Yao Ming is too driven by refs, for him to win he has to lift himself back to his previous form before he broke his leg and his far far away from that

Simmons' article was about money...or the lack of enough of it in the NBA - No Benjamins Association. TMAC's contract, along with many others in this league (such as Steve Francis) are turning out to be really bad financial decisions for owners. 20 of the 30 NBA teams will loser money this seasons - where season tickets and boxes have already been purchased. Next year when there will be a big drop off in these sales we're going to see a whole lot more RED.

    You are missing the point.

If Yao did what Tracey had done, he would be a public enemy of the same degree as Tracey right now.

So it's not Tracey, but rather what Tracey did.

Next year will REALLY be a test for Adelman
    cause
When TMAC comes back . . . .I don' think he should automatically start
    and
he earns minutes by RUNNING THE D*MN OFFENSE
    no more ball stopping
no more 90% of the time the ball in his hands
no more half *ssing on Defense

If he cannot do all that . . .sit his *ss down!

some of you Tmac lovers are just too much.

Lets not look at his records back with the raptors or the magic. Lets not look at what happened this season.

Just Fu**ing look at 4 days before the trade deadline. Why the F*** did he out of nowhere told that media that he is opting for a surgery? A protential season or a career ending one.

How many years have Tmac been with the NBA? wouldn't you think at least he has the brain to tell him to keep his mouth shut? Don't you think a 22 mils star knows better?

So what's his excuse? so obvious. he was trying to kill off any trades involving him.

We all know leading to trade deadline that tmac is going to be traded. Nets believed to be a front runner. It gives them a chance to get out of Carter long contract, a star that can draw ticket sales, and a huge cap relief in 2010 FA. Artest was just a smoke screen.

Now with the surgery, everything got killed. however, I think Morey would still trade Tmac come next deadline. we either great some great pieces or we'll be a huge draw in FA market.

I am thinking the we would try to lure Wade.
The way Mami is going - Wade is not going nor want to wait for the team to gel or the rookie to mature.

Wade's exposure and popularity in China isn't as much as Lebron. With the ecomony going like this, having a huge market protential with China is gonna be enough to even draw lebron's attention.

U got Yao, Artest, Battier, Scola that makes up for the starting four is enough to catch anyone's eye. we see how Wafer strives in AD system, it could benefit Wade too.

It said Tmac will be able to play again next year around Feb, which is also around the trading deadline. He probably won't even see any PT before getting traded...

If teams like Cavs, Mami, or Raptors know that they can't sign an extension with the players. What do you think they would do?

They will try to trade with teams that those players are interested or may not have enough free cap. Then the team gets something back and those teams that are getting the player won't have to duke it out in FA.

Rockets would be a great trading partner.

    1. teams that are trading with us will get 23 mil cap space to be a huge player in FA market.

    2. Rumor has it that the team salary Cap will shrink much lower, meaning available fund would be way lower than ever.

I'm no TMAC lover nor am I happy with how TMAC handled his injury this season. But all this TMAC hate is getting old. Them man has given Houston much more than he gets credit for. Despite the team's inability to get out of the first round, it was never because of TMAC's play.

There is no question TMAC came to play in all the first round playoff exits--look at the numbers, look at the minutes played, even his defense was always much better. He gave his heart and soul to this team during his limited playoff stints. Unfortunately, the Rockets just didn't have a whole lot of firepower or athleticism around him up until this season.

Is this a lowpoint in TMAC's career? Yes. I acknowledge all of that. But lets focus on what the Rockets have right now. Let Tracy recover from his surgery and move on. We need a TMAC moratorium!

It's like that movie "The Edge" when Alec Baldwin says to Anthony Hopkins' billionaire character, "I feel sorry for you, Charles, all those people coming at you, not knowing who to trust, wondering if they're just interested in you for your money," and Hopkins replies while looking away, "Never feel sorry for someone who owns a plane."

Never feel sorry for someone who makes $45,000,000 in two years (not counting any shoe contract stuff) to do absolutely nothing. Tmac took all the pressure off himself to do anything by opting for surgery he didn't entirely need.

If we are lucky, he will never play in a Rockets uniform again.

You act as if he "selflessly" gave himself to the team the past few years or something. Or did you forget the fact that he makes $20 mil a year and by far our highest paid player. I'm going to go out on a limb and say someone making 1/3 of the team's total salary SHOULD do what T-Mac did.

    I disagree.
TMac has never RAN the Adelman offense
    he half asses on Defense

NEVER confuse 'GETTING HIS STATS' with playing winning ball

TMac got STATS that say 'he did his part' but . .. looking at the games
    I don't think he did

Sometimes . .. winning basketball is throwing the pass to the man that throws the pass to the man that hits the shots . . .don't show on the stat sheet . . but it is important.

Dude's an idiot. NO ONE....NOOOOOOOOO ONE....would go through a knee surgery (micro fracture none-the-less) to not play and come back just in time to earn a new contract.

I hate how TMAC went about stating how his season was over. He lost a lot of respect from me, but thing is. I'm not one to say he doesn't need the surgery.
