Yao's block on LBJ was far better than those highlight blocks by Dwight Howard and LeBron where the swat the ball into the third row. His block resulted in a fast break and an open 3-pointer for Von.

It was getting a bit worrysome that the offense was way too reliant on the three ball at the end, but hey huge win, and Ill take it with all smiles.

And I must say that I must give AB big props for tonight (with a side acknowledgement to Lowry). AB played within the flow of the offense took maybe one or two questionable shots, used his penetration as a mediator to finding someone else on several plays. Its never about how many shots AB takes, its the types of shots he takes while effectively running to offense. His 1-7 was acceptable, because he created as a PG should do. And he effectively found Yao with good decisions.

But I do believe Lowry can be a very good player given time on the court. His D is pretty dag gone good, he looked to set up Yao alot, and he has better court vision than I expected.

And I stand by my statement that Scola in the paint is all but a replicant of McHale.

Nice game by the Rox, and especially Yao. I still think he should of taken way more shots, but lets hope we can keep it up.

That is exactly what I wanted to say a long time ago. I feel sad for Yao every time I see Yao haters putting up thread like" don't force feeding yao " "Yao is the most unclutch" and crap like that. If people really play a serious basket ball game, they will understand how important that you have a big man down low that can make shot.

    "See you in Houston..."

Yeah, I'd say he played like a MVP and back his words up. Hopefully Yao shows up to all the big games like tonight.

What I love the most of Yao is not the 13/15 FG, but the hustle play, he fought to grab the ball back even after fell, and finally brooks or lowry got the ball. We can expect such an effort from Ron, Shane, Chuck, Luis, Carl, and even Barry. Sadly, we cannot expect anything close to hustle from some star player.

Another fact that I absolutely love about Yao is the support he gives towards his teammates, he's always up cheering and he is absolutely the perfect teammate.

Key word "tonight" he is capable of playing well, He's easily a top ten player in the game however if you go by individuals stats last year should have gone to Chris Paul or Lebron James.

I second this. It was better than the blocks that just send the ball out and you lose possession. This is the way to correctely block a shot. But unfortunately b/c Yao is now Lebron or Kobe he won't get the recognition he deserves from the national media. I remember watching this educational video of red auerbach and he said the same thing, that when you block a shot don't do it in the stands, do it in the flow of the game.
