Just reported on ESPN, wallace out 4-6 weeks with broken leg. Said yao kicked him, was by accident and was a freak thing that happens in basketball
damn it, it should have been Varejao I feel Ben Wallace always plays like a man, he respects his opponents and has played in the league because of his "manly" defense not because of his flopping, its just that tonight he caught Yao when was pissed and he is old and Yao is peaking (13-15) better luck next time
Damn,I wish it was Varejao,oh forgive my wish to put a spell on somebody. It's not like abracadabra.lol.No more flops or you'll have to pay the price for cheating cowardly.
yao didn't kick him, yao step on his foot and god knows how is his leg broken. Atleast yao didn't roll his ankle by stepping on him... whew
I think it was actually Ron on a fast break stepped on his foot which caused the fracture. It was a weird play with Ron flying backwards losing the ball. The highlight they show of Wallace and Yao going after a rebound was not the play.
Yao didn't kick Wallace. From the slow motion they show on TNT during the game, looks like Yao and Wallace both going for a rebound, Wallace was behind Yao, Their knees collided and Yao also land on one of Wallace's foot.
This won't affect Cleveland at all. 4-6 weeks is plenty of time to get back for the playoffs and shake off the rust by the second round when it will count. The most it will do is knock them from the 2 seed to the 3 behind Orlando. Doesn't change the Eastern conference from being anything besides a 3.5 team conference (Atlanta is good on half its nights).
naw, i think Ben's one of the few players who play clean against Yao. Good luck to him, i mean after the final if they will have a shot.
Get well soon Wallace. Hate to see anyone not on the j*zz get injured, but love to see Yao playing physically (intentional or not).
