Kyle Lowry: a scrub who can't stop fouling

By the way, people whining about Lowry and claiming "I've seen Lowry and he has no potential" (because I guess they're great scouts and judges of talent), here's something to consider. You people saying that Lowry doesn't have potential and that Alston is great, this is Lowry's 3rd year in the league. And here are stats of Rafer Alston's 3rd year in the league:

Lowry: 7.3 ppg, 3.6 apg, 41% from the field, 24% from 3pt range, 81% from the line in 22 minutes of action.

Alston: 3.5 ppg, 2.9 apg, 35% from the field, 38% from 3pt range, 62% from the line, 12 mpg

Now, if you want to judge better, since Alston didn't play a ton of minutes here is Alston's 4th year in the league at 21 mpg, basically the same as Lowry right now:

Alston's 4th year: 7.8 ppg, 4.1 apg, 42% from the field, 38%, 69% from the line. Roughly the same stats. Alston is a much better 3pt shooter, Lowry was a better FT shooter. Both only turned the ball over twice per game. I guess those people saw that Alston was going to be a "stud". Though, I still have a hard time calling a PG who is averaging 11 ppg and 5 apg a stud. Especially since that is, roughly his career average after 9 years of basketball. That is also another interesting thing. Alston, after 9 years of basketball, his career average:

10 ppg, 5 apg,

Lowry's career average:

8 ppg, 4 apg

Yet there are people on here, who saw both play, who claim that Lowry has no upside and that Alston is a great.

Great analysis. In addition, Lowsy is much younger and with his potential he could be a consistent 15/10 pg helping Rox to have a deep playoff run.

Did you guys see Lowry lock up Delonte West on that post up in the 3rd quarter? That was amazing defense. And I love the way he was finding shooters and guys under the basket. He's as advertised by Morey and Co.

NO question about it. Kyle is getting used to the system and doing
great on BOTH defense and offense. It seems that Morey made yet
another great trade!

I didn't realize one needed spend hours each day on clutchfans and accumulate 4000 posts in order to be right. Where was I these last three games? Living IRL instead of on the internet. It's a testament to how bad lowry is when a few average to below average performances are cause for you to gloat.

FACT 1: Even at his best so far, he's still a bottom 5 point guard as a starter (which is what we gave up to get him).

FACT 2: Skip doesn't choke under pressure and make passes like that.

FACT 3: Read the thread a little bit closer. I didn't bump it, I responded after someone else bumped it. I can't help it if people are being gradually won over to my views.

Yes, Rafer doesn't' choke under pressure? Have you been watching the same games as us? The bad passes, the missed three's, the fastbreaks on missed tear drops. Did the rest of us imagine this?
