    shane on kobe last year?

or ron and shane on LBJ this year?

i would have to go with the former because it was a one man job and in a bigger game.

but from a perspective of "national exposure" they are both pretty huge, i would think. that game last year really put shane on the map with jvg highliting his "hands in the eyes" defensive technique with different camera angles.

this game underscores how potent our wing defensive duo is.

id do with the latter coz i think its a much tougher job guarding lebron coz hes just so strong and explosive... and i think ron ron and batman did a great job tonight limiting lbj to 7-21..

    Shane on Kobe.

The key to defending Lebron is to let him shoot nothing but jumpers all game.

Kobe can kill you with jumpers, he's just tougher to defend.

They were both great defensive performances.

Like everyone else I am excited about the win today but looking at the bigger picture, it's also a reminder of how McGrady has screwed up an amazing-what-could-have-been.

With Artest, Battier, and McGrady (with his head and single chambered heart in place), backed up by Yao from behind, this team would have been a terrible match up for anyone to score against in playoff games.

A strong will power was all that was needed. It's truly tragic.

lebron averages 28 7 7. He had 21 0 1. THAT is great defense. Basically that means lebron scored 7 points less than normal and assisted at least 14 points less.

from an analytical perspective, they're both equally compelling.

shane's performance on kobe really highlited the amount of concentration he has to put in on the defensive end and how much technique he uses to outsmart the opponent. the different camera angles really showed it like an art form.

this game was just interesting in seeing two premiere defenders take turns on the best player on the league. i can't remember ever seeing that. they also both have completely different styles. i really hope this performance gets some kind of national exposure.

zboy - that's depressing. with a healthy mcgrady, this is the most talented roster in the league.

The defensive job on LBJ by Ron and Shane. Everyone was saying Lebron was some kind of Superman, well they made him look awful human. Lowest points scored in the 1st and 3rd qtrs ever for the Cavs, 1st game Lebron didn't have an assist ever. The Rox as a team have to have an awful lot of confidence now.

Tonight was pretty impressive, but Shane has done this by himself against LeBron before (although his first zero assist game does count for something), and the mixing up of styles gave the Rockets a decided edge against LeBron tonight.

Shane on Kobe last year, though, was nothing short of a complete masterpiece.

Cleveland is 26-1 at home this year and 18-11 away from home. I think that tells you how much Lebron's game revolves around having the favor of the zebras.

I'm voting for Battier against Kobe because he's just so much harder to stop even when you take away the transition game.

I can't wait to hear what that douche Charles says after smirking it up in the pre-game about the thought of our two guys trying to contain Lebron. He'll probably chalk it up as an off shooting night.
