i don't really have anything to convince you with. I have a PS3 and I barely touch it. I think the last time I turned it on was last May. I like my 360 more

Prices may go down in April-May, but once you go HDMI you won't wanna go back to those analog cables :D

    Well first, how much?

Second, even if it's a lot... I'm quite the opposite of rhino17. I'm constantly using my PS3, and I don't use my 360 much.

As videogame systems they're close to on-par, but as a multimedia hub, PS3 destroys everything else on the market. Blu-ray is sick if you have a 1080p display (looks plenty good in 720p, too). I find that streaming content from my PC to my game system is much more intuitive on my PS3 as well.

And, honestly, my favorite exclusive games are on the PS3: Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Of course, 360 has numerous awesome exclusives as well... that's just a matter of personal preference.

$399, so more like $349 b/c of the $50 gift card.

Nothing that I can think of besides play movies or games. Well there is sharing some of your computer resources with that 'Folding' stuff but really not much other then that.

PS3 has better games, more functionality, and more reliable hardware.

Even if you don't play videogames that much, it maybe worth it just to get the blu ray player.

    Which two?

I guess you can say better games, but thats more of a fallacy than anything. Thats the popular belief, but the current and future releases lean more toward PS3 IMO.

The thing is a beast though. Blu-Ray looks spectacular. I use mine to listen to music sometimes and recently have been watching MMA like Affliction with the PS3 by streaming from the web. Its better than watching on my computer.

If I were trying to convice you, my argument would be.........God of War III. Silly mortal.

Alas I am not trying to. I play my PS3 pretty often and the guys in my office all have one, so it works out.

Are you tired of sitting on your ass watching the days go by? Start sitting on your ass while having fun!

The Sony PS3 is perfect for killing a beautiful sunny day. While all the losers out there are busy doing stupid stuff like walking their dog, meeting chicks, going to the beach, partying with friends, working, and other crap like that...you can be playing games, listening to music, creating photo albums, and watching high-def Blu-Ray movies - all by yourself!

For the low, low price of only $499.99, you can go from boring and ordinary to AWESOME and EXTRAORDINARY! Did I mention AWESOME? Buy your PS3 today, and experience life the way it was meant to be!

Note: You can also play with friends, but don't waste your time with losers. We recommend only playing with members of Clutchfans with 8,000+ posts.

I know one that you disagree with has to be games, which I won't argue with... that's purely personal preference.

We both know the 360 has the highest failure rate for a game system ever, so I doubt you're disagreeing on the more reliable hardware point.

So, that must mean that you think the 360 has more functionality. Do elaborate. It's possible the 360 has added a bunch of stuff in firmware releases that I didn't notice, but I kinda doubt it...

    I have both systems...love them.

However, if you took both of them away from me...I'd want the PS3 back.

I subscribe to netflix, so I get those blu-ray movies sent regularly. Also, the system is rock solid, you dont have to worry about it breaking down (My 360 has been sent in once to get fixed).

The games, for the most part, are identical...of course, each has its own exclusives, but I call it a wash.

Therefore, I get great gaming and blu-ray...The PS3 has been a great purchase.
