Yao is probably the worst in the league when it comes to ballhandling and standing balance and control. He's terrible when it comes to receiving the ball EVEN when he's wide open and you pass him the ball, don't be surprised if he fumbled it.

And his standing balance is horrible....like for example, if he were to jog down the court and someone trip him, he would fall miserably without a sense of balance and control. That is why he loses offensive rebound often when he got it initially because with the combination of bad ballhandling skills and control, he fumbles it easily. This is also why he keeps turning over the ball and it is the reason why teammates have to make precision pass to him.

Now you compare him to Shaq who has great balance and control and great ballhandling skills. You throw the ball anywhere in the post and Shaq would have no problem getting it...opponents wouldn't try to gamble to sneak in and try to steal the pass in the post because there is no escape when Shaq catch it since he has great balance and control....this allow him to regain balance and dunk it easily. Compare to Yao, he loses balance too easily and that is also why it takes time for him to rise up and dunk because he's still trying to regain balance.

So with that said, Yao should work on his ballhandling skills and control and balance in the offseason if he want to improve further.

What Yao needs to do is bring a nasty attitude down low. It seems sometimes when Yao is clearly fouled shooting. He doesn't get the call alot of the times. I think its because he doesn't sell it enough. And its because he doesn't always bring that aggressive nature. When he does he gets the calls and when he doesn't he hacked to death.

Don't get me wrong YAO always comes to play! But sometimes he has this swagger and when he does he's pretty much unstoppable!

Big win for the rockets tonight. Someone please send all the referees in the league some footage of what fouls look like. Apparently they forget that blood usually means there was a foul committed.

Memo to Coach Adelman, when teams front Yao, then post up scola or artest and take Yao to the top. We have to stop trying to force it in or else it will end badly.

But, a win is a win!!!

Oh man...I hope we get good refs thur, this was just silly tonight. We're owed some good refs on thursday after tonight...hopefully they won't call BS flops...

Everytime Varejao hits the floor the Refs have to know he's flopping and has no real interest in playing defense.

Communist regimes don't want their citizens to have personalities, so that the people won't question whatever they do.

Yao was raised that way and it's hard to change so yall should either stop banging him on that, or make him not hang out with Chinese people at all for a while.

% is not the only concern. sometimes it's when and how you take your shots.

far-fetching politics in sports is just like gunshot in a concert. that makes a ignorant spoiler of you, japanese guy. we know the 3 eastern-Asian nations hate one another. but don't bring that into sports talk, OK?

I have a feeling the Rockets are going to beat Cleveland but its going to be just as ugly of a game as this one and we will still have people on this board complaining.
