A lot of people here like to rip ESPN, but that spoof of PTI that Rich Eisen and Brian Kenny did during Sportscenter last night was awesome. They went through the list of NBA MVP candidates, and argued just like Wilbon and Kornheiser do on their show. The "Five good seconds with Bill Pidto" was great...They even whipped out a Moochie bobblehead! That being said, PTI has become one of my favorite shows to watch. I didn't like it at first. It was too sporadic and too fast paced. It slowly grew on me, though. Wilbon and Kornheiser work beautifully together, mixing comedy in with semi-serious sports discussion. Maybe, every once in a while, they can do an hour long show and mix in some calls from around the country...
Yet another thing me and RM95 don't agree on. Korn is witty and intelligent, and takes the proper perspective on sports. DaDakota
I'll admit that the couple of times I've watched 30 seconds or more of his show, I've liked it OK. However, I won't watch him...I don't think he's that intelligent when it comes to sports (no professional sports show host should not know who Aramis Ramirez is) and he's arrogant as hell. The week his show started, that's all he talked about on his radio show-the fact that he had a show. Instead of talking about sports, he used freaking air time to record promos for his show! At least that had something to do with sports, most of the time, you wouldn't think his show was a sports show. RM95's Girl and I listened to him for two hours on a drive to Florida...they talked about how comfortable IZOD shirts are now for the entire time. Why did we listen? It's like watching a car wreck, you can't help but listen to hear what non-sports item this idiotic sports host will talk about next. What really sucks is that he has good guests-Al Michaels, John Riggins-who try to talk sports, but are inevitably interrupted by the egotistical maniac who can't stand to share airtime. The ******* even interrupts The Duke on the Sportscenters. That's why I won't watch his show.
I'm with you, A-Train. I never miss this show anymore. The two make a perfect couple. They each are very comfortable taking the opposite viewpoints, so the discussions are interesting. Tony is a funny (and funny looking) guy while Wilbon has a million dollar smile, and both are decently knowledgeable about most sports. Go PTI!
Ha... when the show started I didn't like it but it really is funny and I try to catch it every day. They work well together.
I'm with RM95. Kornhole is a waste of time, space, energy, etc. Wilbon doesn't bother me so much. But, guilty by association, i guess. The show SUCKS....but that's my opinion.
I dont know about his television show but on the radio he is pretty clear that its not really a sports show, they use sports to talk about other issues. I think he is pretty clear that his radio show isnt really a sports show
